This song is a bit more experimental than the previous one. I chose the key of the version from Cyndi Lauper because it has the perfect tune to get the most power out of my voice. I could sing all of them but the version by Roy Orbison is a little bit too low while the version by Celine Dion is a little bit too high to get the max of power.
Also I like the arrangement and the mood of Cyndi's version a lot. And as I'm able to play the dulcimer I really had to the Kindred Spirit intro that Cyndi plays on the album.

Indochine are one of the most important bands for me. I already liked them as a child but with 14 years I became a real maniac. I just loved that 80s sound, great arrangements, and especially the clean Fender Mustang sound of Dominik Nicolas. So here's my homage.

My very first attempt to sing this song was in a karaoke bar on my birthday in 2009. I thought it would be easy as the tones are all in my vocal range. But no, I had to learn that this is one of the most difficult songs to sing by Michael Jackson, especially after just having eaten some Schmalzkuchen (a kind of small doughnut in Germany). And it's even harder at 155 BPM. So it took me some time to make a version I am quite satisfied with (some may remember that there is already a video with a live version from some years ago on YouTube).

This is my second non-English cover. There has already been a Eurobeat version of this song by Mega NRG Man but it was in English. Normally I totally prefer English over German as a language for singing but this song really sounds better in German. Also this song needed a lot more power and NRG as a Eurobeat song.

I really have no idea why nobody made a Eurobeat cover or remix of this song before. I mean, it's kind of predestined to be a Eurobeat song with that fighting spirit and 80s atmosphere. I know, the stuff I wear is Karate and not Kung Fu but it's because I had some Kyokushinkai Karate lessons by Nakahata-Sensei in Bremen in the past and I still wear the keikogi with pride!
The only thing I dislike in the lyrics is the part with “The hero stands alone”, because in the Film Kung Fury the Hero gets help from all his friends and the important message for me in the film was that no matter how strong you are alone, you'll need your nakama (friends, comerades) to succeed in the end. I want to have friends like Triceracop too!

Macho-McBazooka is back!
A lot of you like my high screams, so I thought it'd be a good idea to do a Modern Talking song. Their first 5 singles all became number 1 in the German charts. Well, this is their 6th single, but it's my personal favourite. In 2005 I was at Deutschland sucht den Superstar in Bremen (it's the same concept as American Idol etc.) and I sang this song to Dieter Bohlen, the guitarist of Thomas Anders (afaik the lack of acknowledge to Dieter's work was the reason they disbanded), who was one of the judges. He was very nice and told me to continue making music but he thought the concept of the show isn't the right thing for me. I guess he was right. I wonder what he would say about this version of the song.

I finally found the motivation to continue with my Eurobeat covers. To begin the new series, I decided to take one of my favourite songs, True Faith by New Order. A song about drug addiction (as far as I know, it's not about so called soft drugs like cigarettes, alcohol or marijuana), written by someone who just imagines how it would be, because he doesn't take drugs, now covered by someone who also only can imagine how it would be.

I've already been asked if there are going to be more non-English songs. The answer is yes and this time I tried to sing in Spanish. I'm pretty sure that I got a little accent but what's Eurobeat without accents, hm?
And yes, most songs in this series will be longer like the good old Super Eurobeat extended versions. All songs I prepared so far have more than five minutes except Beds Are Burning.

The song is a flashback of the singer's childhood so I thought it would be right to do it in the old fashioned Eurobeat style that was current when I went to school. I started school in 1989 and left school in 2001, so it had to be 90s sound. Also I could finally sing a song with a Yorkshire accent which is nice because half of my family is from Barnsley (the original singer of the song, Jarvis Cocker, is from Sheffield).
And you may also have noticed that I sing in a different style. It interests me to know if you like when I change the singing style according to the mood of the song from time to time. Please tell me in the comments!

A superhero who's real name is Anthony … no further explanations needed.
I took 4 different series openings. The beginning is from the Iron Man Anime, the main part with vocals is from Iron Man: Armored Adventures (original music played by Rooney), the guitar solo part after the first chorus is from the first opening of Iron Man: The Animated Series (music by Keith Emerson, R.I.P.) and the “I – I am – I am Iron Man” part is from the second opening of Iron Man: The Animated Series.
There is an extended version where the parts of the instrumental openings are longer on Patreon or on the album Eurobeat Covers vol. 1 on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, and Deezer.

I must admit I never saw the movie Scarface, I only know that it's a cult movie from the 80s starring Al Pacino. But there are so many movies I haven't watched, if I got the time I prefer watching series.

Here is my first song in 2018. I did it! 200 BPM Eurobeat! The fastest Eurobeat song so far.

This just had to be done. I felt it's my destiny to provide you this song as a Eurobeat version. So here it is. Took me quite some time to do it, it has … well, quite a lot of notes.
I don't know what was wrong with the chroma key this time. I didn't even have strong shadows this time and still I couldn't get rid of it or half of my jacket would have been cut out.

This time I did a thing I wanted to do for a long time (around two years) which is to try to make a song in the style of Michiel van der Kuy's Eurobeat songs but with a modern sound (his songs sound rather thin as most Eurobeat songs at that time). With this song I felt it could work and it did. I'm very happy with the result.

Now that I already got the Eurobeat speed record, I had to release another high speed Eurobeat song (even though it has 8 BPM less than Through the Fire and Flames).
The speed and energy mixed the the emotional strength of this song makes it one of my favourite covers I did so far.
On a side note, in the original song the guitar is played by Rodrigo Gonzales who later joined Die Ärzte whom I mentioned in one of my VLOGs. When the song came out in the 80s, Die Ärzte made a live parody of the song calling it “shoeprint” not knowing that Rod would later become a band member.

Watson (the Starpoint Eurobeat vocalist) showed my the Devilman opening a few weeks ago and I immediately fell in love with it (probably the pronunciation of Debiruman played a role in this). So I had to make a proper Eurobeat version of the song. It's my fourth song in Japanese already, two years ago I'd never had thought I would do so many because I still don't speak Japanese. But it's a nice language for singing actually.
I've seen that lots of coversongs are around lately because of Devilman Crybaby. One more reason to have a Eurobeat version around, too.
