FM Season 4 Episode 6 - Week 2 Fantasy Matchups

Episode 7 is in the books.  We took a look at fantasy matchups for week 3 of the NFL season.  This is always fun, but we had a little better vibe this week because we both won our fantasy games in week 2.  Good conversation on Bijan Robinson, Mike Evans and a host of other players that start or sit decisions have to be made on. FM Season 4 Episode 7 - Week 3 Fantasy Matchups

In episode 8, we took a look at matchups in fantasy football for week 4 of the NFL season.  There were a few injury updates, followed by a  closer look at games that involved a few top names in fantasy.  Those names included:  CJ Stroud, Justin Fields, Mike Evans, and Derrick Henry. FM Season 4 Episode 8 - Week 4 Fantasy Matchups

Episode 9 was a bit of a challenge because the NFL bye weeks start in week 5.  We added in a few players that can be picked up as free agents or substituted in for players that are on the bye weeks.  There are some big names on bye, so be sure to get locked in on each position group.  Everything else stuck to our standard format for the podcast.  There were a few injury updates, followed by a closer look at games that involved a few top names in fantasy, and finally a few free agents to target. FM Season 4 Episode 9 - Week 5 Fantasy Matchups

Week 6’s podcast was …. Interesting!!  I completed a crucial trade in our fantasy league, and I outlined the details in this episode.  Our normal format talked about the unfortunate injuries to Justin Jefferson, De’Von Achane, and Anthony Richardson.  There were some tough start/sit decisions for week 6. Ok, this is the week!!  Week 7, the Nicholson Bowl, me versus my dad.  I have won the last three matchups and I lead the overall series 3-2.  My pops is sweating this week’s game for sure, and oh, the podcast was cool too!!  There are a 6 teams on bye this week.  So, we took a deep dive into bye week replacements for players on the Cowboys, Jets, Titans, etc.  We had our usual discussions about players at position group to get a feel for who we would start and who would sit. My vibe was off for week 8 because my dad got lucky and beat me!!  He had to bring the energy this week, for sure.  This week was a little longer because there are no teams on bye this week. FM Season 4 Episode 12 - Fantasy Matchups Week 8

Episode 13 this time out.  Me and Pops were both kind of worried, recording episode 13 on Halloween CANNOT be good!!  Good work on episode 13, we were locked in on Week 9 of the NFL season!!  Of course, we started out talking about my Eagles.  Fly Eagles, fly!!  There are four teams on bye:  49ers, Lions, Jaguars and Broncos.  So, we had to cover replacements for players that are out this week.  A few players we had discussions included:  Aaron Jones, Rashid Shaheed, Taysum Hill, Will Levis, and Kirk Cousins. FM S4 Episode 13 - Fantasy Matchups Week 9

This season is flying by!!  We're up to the 14 episode of season 4 already!!  Me and Pops are both battling for playoff spots in our league.  Week 10 will be a make or break week in a lot of leagues because there are some heavy hitters on bye this week (Chiefs, Eagles, Rams and Dolphins). We covered replacements for each position and highlighted players that may be falling through the free agent cracks i.e James Conner, Kyler Murray and Chig Okonkwo. FM Season 4 Episode 14 - Fantasy Matchups Week 10

Yes sir, episode 15 was it for sure!!  My pops was out of town and I got to run the show, and do things MY way!!  I invited my good friend, Greg.  He’s a Commanders’ fan.  I’m not sure about his team choice, but he knows a little about fantasy football.  We went through the normal format, we started with injuries, and took a look at all of the position groups to fill out your lineup.  Most people are fighting for playoffs spot in their leagues.  We put up a few gems that could help you secure a spot.  Pay close attention to the free agents and the bye week replacements for Week 11 of the NFL season.  Thanks for checking us out.

FM Season 4 Episode 15 - Fantasy Matchups Week 11

First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!  Episode 16, big week for fantasy matchups in week 12!!  I took a little vacation.  So, my dad and Greg ran the show.  It wasn’t nearly as good, but they did the best they could!!  Hahahaha!!!  Just kidding!!  They did great!!  Matchups for each position group were discussed.  Greg is a Commanders fan.  So, he and Pops talked a lot about Sam Howell, and the state of the Commanders.  There are no teams on bye this week.  So, the episode featured players like Brock Purdy, Terry McLaurin, Kyler Murray and Raheem Mostert.  Hopefully, we are helping everyone secure a playoff position in their league!!

FM Season 4 Episode 16 - Fantasy Matchups Week 12

Me and Pops were back for Episode 17!!  It was good to get back at it!!  Week 13 of the NFL schedule has a few teams on bye.  We had to add bye week replacements back into our format.  The teams on bye are:  Ravens, Giants, Bills, Raiders, and Vikings.  Those teams are loaded with fantasy options.  So, we really had to get locked in on potential replacements.  I think we did good.  Players like:  Pat Freiermuth, Christian Watson, Brian Robinson Jr. and Jared Goff were discussed as difference makers in fantasy for week 13.  Thanks for checking us out!!

FM Season 4 Episode 17 - Fantasy Matchups Week 13

Ok, episode 18 is in the books.  Everybody is gearing up for the playoffs.  Hopefully, you are in the mix and not on the outside looking in.  This week is the play in in our league, meaning the 6th and 7th seeds play to see who gets in the playoffs bracket.  Pops got lucky and secured a good seed, but I’m not far behind.  I need to get a win this week for sure.  I’m counting on Justin Fields, D’Andre Swift, and Stephon Diggs.  We talked through a few free agents as well. FM Season 4 Episode 18 - Fantasy Matchups Week 14

Ok, now we are into the playoffs!!  That time of the year when it’s win or get laughed at!!  Week 15 of the NFL schedule has a lot of good matchups, and I feel like we covered them all.    There are no more bye weeks to worry about, but there are always injuries.  This week, teams could be without Justin Herbert, Josh Jacobs and CJ Stroud.  In each case, we talked through a few free agents that could help your lineups if you have one of these players.  We also touched on Tommy Devito, Brandon Aubrey and Joe Flacco, players that are surprising a lot of fantasy heads as we get into the playoffs.  Thanks for listening and good luck!!

Ah ok, the junior varsity is up tonight.  My dad and Ruffin are running the show!!  The timing is bad, but I had to work this week.  They needed to pick up the slack and talk through what is more than likely Superbowl week for a lot of leagues.  We stuck with the normal format, highlighting various players in each position group.  We also added a few free agents that could help put your lineup over the top.  Good discussions this week on Baker Mayfield, Rashee Rice, KJ Osborne and Tyler Lockett.  The free agent discussions were clutch because if you can add talent this late in the season, you’re setting yourself up for a win for sure. Well, the fantasy season is over but, it was fun!!  We got the crew back together to talk about who would be the MVP, who was the best free agent, best defense, etc.  We looked at a lot of categories and came up with a good list to help jump start next year’s draft.
