Cloudsmasher (Neo-Trance & Prog Mix)

Born in Vietnam, raised in France. NairLess is an assiduous producer, DJ, live performer and pianist. Before his electronic music journey, he studied and learnt to master the piano at the age of 4. He moved on to electronic music in 2017 by starting the production of dreamy house music. He also integrated the collective “L’Appart Music” with which he had his first mixes. In 2018, he co-founded the label “Aurore 404” which organized and still organizes parties in notorious Parisians clubs such as Nouveau Casino, NF-34 & Garage and released rising artists such as Gallegos and Pépé Elle and confirmed ones such as Ian Pooley. In 2022, his music has evolved to fast paced but still smooth and hovering electronic music with a firm inspiration on old school 90’s early trance, balearic and progressive house. He is currently released on labels such as Radiant Records, Increase The Groove, Chikyu-u Records, Aurore 404 & Nerang Recordings. More releases coming soon in 2023

Heimlich Maneuver (she/her) is a Berlin based DJ and part of the Rosa Brisante collective.

"My motivation to buy equipment and start DJing with two female friends in 2021 was the question of how it is possible that we only know male DJs in our circle of friends. We just wanted to teach ourselves without the insecurity of a male environment. 

Today, together with my collective Rosa Brisante, I'm trying to change that and actively promote non-cis male DJs through bookings and our podcast series. 

However, I still feel that I myself and we as a collective are still very dependent on male gatekeepers - be it promoters, bookers or club managers. I hope that this will change even more and that more FLINTA* people will dare to DJ and change the scene."

Considering that YamYam only started DJing in 2022, she already has an impressive number of gigs and DJ mixes to show and moves light-footedly between different genre boundaries. As part of the Pavement Gum crew, she is actively involved in shaping the cultural periphery of our shared hometown, where politics and music meet on the dancefloor. For number 34 of the Ashtray Monuments series YamYam mixes broken beats with straight prog-house tracks and baile-esque breaks. Infused with dreamy vocal-chops, spherical pads and bleepy sounds YamYam creates a stringent mix, independent, varied and absolutely danceable. Thank you @dj_yamyam !
