ODTD040 marks the Øddity debut of Italian duo Armonica, who are on a high after featuring on Afterlife’s Unity Pt.3 and playing for Tale of Us at Hï in Ibiza. The Daydream EP continues Andrea and Salvatore’s exploration of a darker melodic techno sound over three expansive tracks.

Pulsating title track ‘Daydream’ immediately seizes your attention with its powerful 4/4 beats and shuddering driving sub-bass. Armonica delivers a lesson in how to build up the tension, setting things up nicely for the theme to enter.
The stunning breakdown acts as the perfect moment to make full use of the vocal and then crank up the intensity dial, before layered synths mesmerise the listener. Daydream is the perfect 5am club track for that special moment in time.

‘Homeland’ demonstrates Armonica’s experience as DJs with careers spanning over 25 years, initially setting a deep focused groove that locks the crowd in before unleashing a series of twists and turns to play with their minds. Andrea and Salvatore use their arsenal of analogue synths to deliver something truly special with rising arp lines and expertly dispersed atmospherics.

Cinematic closing track ‘Lullaby’ gives further insight into Armonica’s talent for composition, arrangement and layering of beautiful melodies. The duo push the boundaries of melodic techno to show the genre can be experimental, edgy and thought provoking in addition to impacting the dance floor.

Purpose

In recent years, Prisma Techno has revealed to the world great Brazilian artists, mainly through its already established annual collection 'Evolution'. It was thanks to this policy of open doors to new talents that allowed the label to participate in the Dogma project's successful trajectory since its birth in February 2018, with the track 'Morphosis'. Since then the duo formed by Gleisson and Clovis has been taking higher flights, having their tracks released by important European labels, such as the Spanish Awen Records and the Greek Us & Them Records, as well as other participations in Prisma Techno releases, such as remix made for the Italian track Aree, 'Six Degrees'.

We are living in a moment of several global transformations, and these changes reflect in the sound identity of Dogma, which in its new EP 'Transmutare' invites us to reframe our way of living. The alchemy transmutation turn lead into gold, a secret language used to refer to the process of enlightenment, with fire as its leading agent. We, as humanity, are trying to understand what has just happened and make peace with these intense times of challenges. We are learning to transmute this anxious energy, which is our prime matter.

The release features two original melodic techno tracks. The title track 'Transmutare' has strong indie dance influences on its drums, progressive groove, slightly saturated synths and an emotional break. In 'Prima Materia' we find elements characteristic of his most recent productions, intense beats and percussive effects accompanied by a mysterious atmosphere, surprise vocals that develop until an energetic break. Without a doubt this EP is a watershed in Dogma's career.

ANTHONY GODWIN (France) was born in the south of France in 1981. He starts with electronic music at the age of 13. By listening to mixes of great artists such as Jeff Mills, Ritchie Hawtin and many others.
In the early years he played only techno sounds and changed then to more minimalist, melodic and bewitching music...
In 1998 he starts producing by buying his first synthesizer and sampler.
It was in 2009 that everything really starts when he won a competition for production and that he signed at the same time his first EP on French label Disturbed Mind Records since he continues his way into production and is signed in under other labels...
