I Am the River

In the tradition of yoga, there is a deep reverence placed on the teachers and yogis that came before you. A recognition that the fruits of the labors of all these practitioners are what inform your own practice, and conscious development. 

I have noticed a tremendous parallel in music - to me, I am standing on the shoulders of the creative giants who inspire me so tremendously.

The Kali Yuga Boogie was inspired by the Hiatus Kaiyote song, Shaolin Monk Motherfunk, Jeff Beck's song, Blast from the East, and the groovy vibes of RHCP. 

This is a homage to my muses - I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it

It's belonging, not belongings that we may be longing for, 
it's dawning on me that my wrongings bore the truth
my songs sing, come from open doors when my heart had tore

devotion was set into motion by all the commotion I'm hoping I know how to flow in,
and that's how I'm growing and showing how wisdom was gained from the pain that we're knowing
