This is actually a riff I came up with a couple years back, but I had to use it for some school assessment so I never got to fully show it off.

Although it was for school back then it’s whole being sits with me very differently now. It’s this kinda riff that can be taken however you’d like, what this is, is what it is.

This piece is whatever you want it to be I guess, there was no set meaning as to when I wrote it, there wasn’t any feeling associated with it when I wrote it, I just did.

This song is exactly what many would perceive it as, yes it is about my ex, but it’s also about my own self destruction of what could have been. I would be a fool to say I’m not remorseful, and I would be stupid to try and keep my mistakes hidden and act like they never happened. This applies in a multitude of ways not just to do with exes, but just people in general.

It’s unfortunate, however I’m aware of the fact that many might mock me for this piece, even though it holds a great deal to me. I mean let’s be real if an old friend group that someone you’re writing about is in, like they’re gonna poke a bit of fun 😭

Regardless of how people see this, it is my thoughts, it is about how I miss what I had, what it took for granted. It is my recognition that I destroyed something that I’d longed for, for years.
