Atmospheric Progressive Rock - that couldn't wait any longer

Just before I reached the age where wearing deodorant started to become mandatory, I started drumming, jamming along to whatever came on the radio. From that point on, drums took over my life, and my €50 guitar mostly gathered dust. But once I got my hands on a proper guitar, I finally started turning all those years behind the kit into the rock riffs you hear now. 

My musical roots? A chaotic, beautiful mix of Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Ultravox, Iron Maiden, Big Country, Sepultura, Dream Theater, Pearl Jam, Creed, Evanescence and Paramore. What ties it all together? Distorted guitars, signature drums. All combined it’s a disregard for sticking to one genre.

Played in bands like The Nozems (1992) Dutch punk rock rebels, and even toured the US. Feeler / My Favorite Scar (2000-2008), where we hit stages all over the Netherlands, including Lowlands and AFAS Live, and recorded two full-length albums.

Then life happened. Kids were born, and I traded soundchecks for storytime. Music never left, it just went underground.

Now, I’m back.

Anti Anti Crastinator is my solo project - 100% independent, zero commercial agenda, and proudly unpredictable. Expect a wild ride of crunchy riffs, atmospheric synths, cinematic strings, and drums that refuse to sit still. Sometimes it needs a head banging. Sometimes you hum or sing along. Sometimes it's both, fighting for attention. Some tracks began 30 years ago and evolved through six incarnations before reaching your ears today.

Themes? From the deeply personal to the social and political issues.
Instruments? Mostly me with a few guest appearances here and there.
Vocals? Handled by friends who can actually sing. I can’t. Not even in the shower.

This is music as therapy. A sonic escape. A love letter to the bands that shaped me and the chaos that refined me. Welcome to my headspace. Sorry it took so long, but hey, I'm the Anti Anti Crastinator, not the anti procrastinator...
