Der Song "Wenn ich Dich heute seh'" entstand eigentlich schon im Januar 2009, doch aufgrund der Arbeit an Antichrisis’ letztem Album “Not Fade Away" sowie meiner beiden zuletzt veröffentlichten Songs wurde "Wenn ich Dich heute seh'" immer wieder aufgeschoben. 

Die Inspiration dazu bekam ich eines Abends in einer Musikkneipe. Dort traf ich auf eine Frau im Publikum, die ich noch sehr gut aus meiner Jugend kannte: Eine Frau, die ihren Selbstwert aus der Summe der Eroberungen gebundener Männer bezog. Wenn sie einen weiteren Strich auf ihrer Liste machen konnte, war diese “Affäre” für sie auch schon Vergangenheit - die durch ihre Aktion zu Bruch gegangene Beziehung des Mannes jedoch in vielen Fällen ebenfalls.

Als ich sie an diesem Abend nach all den Jahren wieder sah, war ich fast erschüttert, denn aus diesem ehemals wunderschönen und energiegeladenen, jedoch zugleich zerstörerischen Engel war eine blasse, kaum wahrnehmbare Person geworden, deren einstmals strahlend blaue Augen mir nun stumpf, leer und leblos erschienen. Doch ehrlich gesagt wunderte es mich nicht, denn ich kannte ihre Geschichte und ahnte daher, was mit ihr passiert war.

Ein paar Nächte später wachte ich plötzlich auf, setzte mich hin und schrieb diesen Song.
