This story begins with Cthulhu - a creature of immeasurable power and unknown origin - who arrived long ago with its seemingly sole purpose being to rain destruction over the world. 

None could stand against the wrath of Cthulhu. The very fabric of this world seemed on the precipice of doom. 

At last, when all hope seemed lost, the Dryads, with their connection to the world, joined together to save Terraria from annihilation. 
The Dryads severely damaged Cthulhu, causing it to retreat to the dark side of the moon to regenerate. 
However, only a single Dryad survived, and hasn’t been seen since…

Rumours tell of a Cult led by a fanatical zealot that is seeking to revive and summon Cthulhu. 
A strong Terrarian went out in search of this cult one day… 

And the world wonders… 

Will history repeat itself?
