Parisian – Benales has been honing his skills since the end of the 90s with impeccable taste and steady determination. As an avid record collector, vinyl only DJ and enthusiast of Techno and House – his DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit. His talent allows him to put himself in many clubs in Europe like Tresor, Rex Club, Le sucre, The Gate (Georgia), Spain... but also as a regular guest of Concrete when it’s not rare to find Benales surrounded by guest of solid reputation like DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, James Ruskin. Fascinated by Techno and coldness of electronic music, he released some EP’s and remixes on Sino (Technasia Label), and notably “Elements part 1 & part 2” have marked his spot in the international scene. Over the years, he had several releases on outstanding labels like KEY Vinyl (Freddy K label), Suburban Avenue, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, Inguma and many more to follow.

Prosto z Paryża - Benales z nienagannym stylem i ciągłą determinacją doskonali swoje umięjętności od końca lat 90. Jako zachłanny kolekcjoner płyt, "vinyl only" DJ i entuzjasta muzyki techno i house. Jego sety i utwory łączą surowe, mroczne i głębokie elementy tych dwóch gatunków, kłaniając się także w stronę Detroit. Jego talent pozwolił mu grać w wielu klubach w Europie, takich jak Tresor, Rex Club, Le sucre, The Gate (Gruzja). Jest także stałym gościem klubu Concrete, gdzie często można go znaleźć w towarzystiwe takich tuzów jak DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bricknell, Dj Pete, James Ruskin. Zafascynowany techno, wypuścił parę EP i remixów na Sino (label Technasii) które wraz "Elements part 1 & part 2" zostawiły trwały ślad na scenie międzynarodowej. This week's mix is provided by XÂRTE, whose journey started late 2020. He discovered his love for electronic music, mainly focusing on techno. Being inspired by a friend, he started to play himself, and he began to develop his mixing skills and style. These skills let him to perform at venues like BASIS, The Melkweg and Club3, for organizations like ALU and Ypnotika.

XÂRTE's style is characterized  by layering multiple tracks to combine hypnotic sounds and deep patterns, in order to create a completely new groove full, of emotions and abstract textures. He is inspired by the likes of Oscar Mulero, DVS1, Luigi Tozzi and many more. His goal is to create unity on the dance floor and let people drift off with the music to forget everything about the daily things in life.

Over the years, @quelza has made a name for himself, releasing music on labels like Mord, Palinoia, 47 and Hayes Collective, each pushing an unorthodox crystal clarity and cinematic sound design that has become his signature as an artist. Championing layered techno wares laced with a breaksy, IDM-informed touch that packs a punch, the Frenchman keeps on carving out a truly distinctive, shape-shifting universe, switching scopes and angles as he ups the rhythmic pressure.

This maturity is also reflected in his sets, and this podcast is a clear testament of that. He says "I wanted this podcast to be a slow, burning progression of weirdness and solar intensity, gradually building tension not in the speed of the piece but rather in the textural aspect. This is usually how I like to start my sets: by letting the track breathe and evolve before releasing the intensity once the audience and I are acclimatised to the aesthetics and dynamics of the track selection and the venue.”
