After a brief hiatus, Knowledge Imprint is back with it’s eleventh release. With a refreshed visual identity but the same musical vision, the label starts the journey of its next set of releases with label-owner Deano’s Monomaker EP. Joining this release is renowned Dutch artist Tripeo with his remix of the title track. 

‘Monomaker’ sets the tone of the A-side with its stripped-back, trippy qualities. Employing subtle shifts in percussion and synth patterns, it’s delicateness is countered by a strong low-end making it the ideal functional track for any part of a set. Tripeo’s remix however flips things around. Whilst some elements from the original are still clearly defined, he opts for a far more spontaneous approach to the arrangement and sound design. With tweaked out synth sequences, pads and upfront drum patterns, his rendition recalls the style of some early Detroit techno without loosing the essence of the original. 

The B-side of the EP turns things up a notch. ‘Nullsymbol’ keeps a relentless drive that makes it perfect for the peak time. With strong, rhythmic drums and key moments of tension and release, it preempts the final track of the B-side. ‘Twentysix’ closes out the package with a loopy excursion also grounded in rhythmic drums and trippy synth patterns. As an added bonus to the digital package, ‘Thirdreaction’ combines many of the above-mentioned characteristics in a wild, undulating, synth-focussed composition.

Exium can be considered with no doubt pioneers in the spanish techno scene, almost two decades of devotion, passion and work on behalf of what we know as serious and militant music. In their vast career the have released countless vinyls in labels from all over the globe and have spreaded their live sets throught the most respected clubs and festivals all over the place. 

They decide what their pulsations are, can be minimalistic, complex, broken, layered or tooly and precisely, this is the case in this four tracker.

Noncellular life opens fire, and obsessive effected synth line lies over a profound kick and is slowly filled with percussive layers, drums comes in and out while the main hook persists and changes in timbre and texture. A genuine mixing tool. 

Inner mind relies on reverberated toms and sharp percussive elements with the only aid of occasional white noise sweeps, as always a dynamic arrangement made things busy.

On the flip side Inmune response is based on a linear raw sequence soon followed by distorted semi industrial layers while Host range gives us the broken beat dose that they master since ages. Over the complex beats succesive washes and drones fly over, evoquing darkness and pressure.

No jokes in this slice of plastic, aimed for the proper selectors out there.

r²π (@r2pigreco), a fusion of Retina.it, PRG/M and Ruhig, releases an "Isomorphism EP" on @UnitaPsicofisica. The release includes two original tracks, and one remix by Svreca and Neel each. The release is out on April 19th.

Antiterra is an indipendent techno label founded by Giri, a Neapolitan producer and dj, in 2020 during the first world wide pandemic. It was born from the necessity of the artist to create a space where freely release his music and experiments in sound design. During the years, Antiterra also hosted external artists such as Wrong Assessment, Translate and Pulso, Divide, Dez aka Random/Noize and others.
The concept of the "Antiterra" is sci-fi idea which speaks about a theorical planet in the Solar System that shares its orbit with the Earth and is constantly eclipsed by the Sun. This feature makes its nature hypothetical and therefore made of countless possibilities. Antiterra as a label takes inspiration from this theory to translate in sound the endless sceneries.
