Thought I'd try my hand at remixing this house music anthem. Giving me something to look forward to playing out when events becoming a thing again in the UK.

I've built it from the ground up, using the original vocal samples N-Joi used. I also used the Korg M1 plugin for that go to 90s house piano. Added some of my own backing vocals in places to bring something extra to the mix.

P.S it was designed to be like a last tune kinda thing, hence the lack of a standard drum intro. Just so you know my thinking behind the structure.

The 10th episode of MMD Radio features @damjan-zahra, a DJ and event organiser from Gozo whose sound draws from a wide range of underground electronic influences. While rooted in house music, his sets are known for blending multiple styles, moving fluidly between house-infused grooves, funky techno, and heavier UK garage elements to create a varied and dynamic experience on the dancefloor.

Damz began his career in 2019 and has since built a steady presence in Malta’s electronic music scene, performing at major local festivals such as Glitch and Dalma. On his home island of Gozo, he is best known as the founder and host of SPLIT, one of the island’s most popular techno nights. The event has played a key role in reviving a rave culture that had been relatively quiet in recent years.

In 2024, Damz expanded his work in the scene by launching Move, a new brand created alongside fellow DJ Musa, aimed at showcasing his housier, groove-driven side.

For this edition of MMD Radio, Damz delivers a mix that reflects his versatility and broad range of influences, offering a snapshot of his evolving sound and approach as both a DJ and curator.
