Suspect One - Tanzen Bis Die Seele Fliegt ( Khainz Remix )

Luzern’s most prolific producer Khainz returns to Great Stuff after his marvelous remix for Beatkind last summer. 

Ruff sounds, a dry arrangement, cleverly placed effects and a huge amount of energy is what a Khainz record is built on. His track “Ice” is no exception to this winning formula. A modern sub-bassline is moving things forward in an elegant way, while the saw wave sound escorts an array of percussions and vocal snippets to the climax.

Khainz’s second track “Those Days” is a wobbling, slightly distorted slow burner that will lead you in a slightly different direction than expected. While keeping things techy and cutting edge, Khainz breaks the track down midway into a sea full of engaging deep house chords.

Since emerging last year, Nachtbraker (Maurits Verwoerd) has been cultivating his laid back, funky house sound with his last four releases on various labels including Hudd Trax and Detroit Swindle's Heist Recordings. Verwoerd now returns to his roots by presenting his next opus, the Backstabber EP, on Dirt Crew Recordings – the imprint that also homed his very first release back in September of last year.

Our top pick and first up on the flip is "Time is of the Essence", with a slow-developing, intrinsic funk that we have now learned to expect and love in Nachtbraker's music. The track's unbounded energy and embedded groove is anchored by its speaker-rattling bass line, making it an ultimate choice for any dancefloor.

As always Kling Klong gives space for new artists and supports upcoming talents. This time Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold had no doubts signing this debut release from Stuttgart's dj/producer Ninetoes as 'Finder' is obviously a massive stand-out track which has the words 'summer hit' written all over it. So it was just easy to convince Leon and Re-UP from Italy to do the remixes and help to make this release even more oustanding.
