About this edit :
The original piece was shown to me on a sunny afternoon last summer in Brazil by a very dear friend, who said “dude you gotta remix this song, it’s so beautiful”.
From the admiration I feel for this friend came the inspiration to start the project. The process felt nourishing especially when I was studying the chords since they’re not on the usual 4/4 progression.

About @da-lata
Da Lata are Christian Frank and Patrick Forge. They worked with Gilles Peterson as DJs on the English pirate radio Kiss FM during the late 80s. The Duo Are Accompanied by Brazilian Vocalist Liliana Chachian and Portuguese Percussionist Oli Albergaria Savill.

@Rolandson , der olle Kielholer, hat mit seiner Kogge schon viele viele Häfen angelaufen. Zur Zeit liegt er vor der Hansestadt auf Anker und schippert dann und wann durch die Ostsee auf der Suche nach der versunkenen See.
Als wir in der Kaschemme saßen und frischen Küstennebel schlürften, erzählte er von seiner Reise. Wir gingen in den Geisterwald und er zeigte mit ausgestreckten Finger auf eine weit entfernte und leere Stelle im Meer:
"Da muss sie sein, die Antwort auf alle Fragen!"
"Was meinst du?", fragte ich.
"Die 42 junger Maat, die 42."
