Your title for this piece is spot on. I was very impressed with how the tone changed throughout the piece. Sounds great!

ASSIGNMENT:

Assignment 3: Stems or Weeds

Import the Midi and Audio Files given you and make a 2 minute piece of music.  The short drum tracks were all recorded at 88 bpm.

1.  You must use ALL of the Files in AT LEAST one instance!
2.  You can assign the midi files to any sound of your choosing.
3.  Midi Tracks, if used more than once, must change patches for multiple instances.
4.  You can manipulate any Midi sounds with midi gestures like pitch bend or modulation.
5.  You can change the key if you like and as many times as you like.
6.  You can morph audio sounds to any other sounds,
7.  You MUST add at least one SOLO instrument over the top of the track. Either Midi or Audio is acceptable.
8.  You CANNOT use the drum tracks throughout the piece.
9.  You must change tempo at least one time.
10.  It cannot suck musically.
11.  You must defend your choices to the class members.
12.  What movie, TV show, or product would this production have been placed?

This piece of music would be used in a movie.  This soundtrack would be to a montage of a hitman preparing his gear and killing his target.  

The beginning shows the hitman waking up from a dream and then getting into his vehicle to purchase the weapons necessary to "take out" his target.  

The music is episodic, as the hit man travels to several different venues to acquire the equipment he needs to kill his victim.

The intensity of the music increases as he takes out his target, and the slowing of the tempo in the outro of the piece symbolizes the slowing of the victim's heart rate as the victim eventually dies.
