The Portuguese talent signs a beautifully crafted release, combining all his skills for a myriad of aural sensations in 4 formidable tracks. Alican is the perfect guest to put the finishing touch with a high-flying remix.

"Portraits" leads the way. With a surgeon's subtlety, Jepe delights us with his most sensual side. A waste of elegant and warm sounds, accompanied by a masterful Vars who with his voice enhances the beauty of a track for fine ears. Activate your senses, Jepe is in the house.

"Wutzsee" is the second track of this story. Once you've warmed up, it's time to tighten the screws. For our first free download of the year we welcome Adam Sellouk to the series for his first appearance. Hailing from Israel, Adam Sellouk first emerged in 2021 with a contribution to Steyoyoke’s Paradigm collection. Immediately recognized for his astral sound, Adam quickly caught the attention of world class DJ Miss Monique, who signed him to her Siona Records imprint for a two-track showcase later that same year. 2022 would see further successes for Adam, with Nora En Pure’s Purified imprint being the landing spot for ‘Mirage’, a well received production which saw play from Agents of Time, Innellea, Kevin de Vries and Mathame. Also an accomplished DJ, Adam has been a fixture of his country’s nightlife of late, programming music for some of Tel Aviv’s trendiest venues. A recent highlight of Adam’s sets has been his much requested rendition of Empire of the Sun’s ‘We Are The People’. As the second single from the band’s debut album ‘Walking on a Dream’, the track would go on to achieve critical and commercial success, ultimately peaking at #1 in Germany by the end of 2010. With Adam’s take on the track already receiving considerable play from Kevin de Vries and Konstantin Sibold, we’re pleased to offer it as an exclusive free download. Enjoy.

It’s been a rather prolific start to the year for Turkish producer Elif. Following the critically acclaimed release of her remix of Husa & Zeyada’s A Little Fun on IAMHER at the beginning of February, the Barcelona-based talent now unveils her first full-length package of 2023, with the announcement of her mesmerising new three-track EP, Letting Go, on Stil Vor Talent.

Due for worldwide release on Friday, February 24, Letting Go marks Elif’s eagerly anticipated return to the long-standing German imprint, following her contributions to the Stil Vor Talent 300 VA back in 2021 with Juno and the label’s 15 Years VA compilation with Entanglement back in 2020.

Kickstarting the EP with the arresting opener Let Go, Elif joins forces with German duo Stil & Bense for an emphatic debut collaboration, as the three producers christen the EP with a sinister, underground juggernaut. Layers of industrial synths and intricate beats combine with rolling basslines and intermittent vocal drops and within seconds you’re locked in, riding the wavelengths until you reach the mind-bending breakdown.

Next up, Elif lowers the intensity for a more playful second single, Sombre. Created alongside long-time friend and recent production partner ,Gespona, the pair toy with melody, texture and tonality across the frisky seven-minute cut, cultivating a unique sonic palate that explores an array of minimal, underground timbres.

Last but by no means least is the resounding finale On My Own, as Elif takes the reigns for the aptly-titled closer. A dynamic solo offering delivered by an artist whose creativity in the studio seems to know no bounds, rolling grooves, shuffling rhythms and warped synthesizers shine front and centre, as Elif pulls out all the stops to conclude another extraordinary release on Stil Vor Talent.

Family Piknik Music is back on top form as we roll into 2023 with more cutting edge techno, this time from ME & Her feat. Sutja Gutiérrez with remixes by NØREQUEST and Abstraal.

ME & Her is German born artist Jennifer Swirta aka YENI and is a regular on the global circuit who has played across Europe, South Africa, India and the United States. She is a strong willed character who does things her own way. With this alias she focuses on sophisticated techno.

Heroes is a deep rolling tune with a captivating groove that is overlaid with spine tingling vocals. They bring an emo edge to the late night atmospheres as wispy pads add future further details. Heroes (NØREQUEST Remix) is then more turbulent and dark, with frosted textures and menacing bass all building the pressure. Heroes (Abstraal Remix) closes out with a more layered, percussive sound that is moody and perfect for the back rooms.
