Welcome to Episode #5 of Music and Me, the podcast that gets close and personal to you, and gets to know more about you, the disc jockey. Or in this case… 2 disc jockeys! 

This week, I’m happy to say that I have 2 amazing people in the studio to showcase their passion for music, as well as their journey as producers. This is Bellini Beats, made up of Andrew and Lindsey, a couple from Hartlepool, engaged to marry next year. 

The Bellini Beats journey has been brilliant, non-stop gigging week in week out, the name plastered all over posters across the region (and even Ibiza!), producing some quality music - diving into the house and melodic techno vibe. This is a duo that’s rising and doing very well. 

Andrew and Lindsey love this hobby, their passion is on another level. Their hard work is paying off consistently. ‘House is a feeling’ is where it started off in the producing world and let me tell you, it’s a belting track. And stemming from that track, came more and more. And with that, they reached out to many various artists - which is a nice touch.

A warm welcome to episode #9
This week, I am proud to say after nagging him various times, producer, bar owner, entrepreneur and Riff Raff resident DJ, Matty Innocent has made his way into the antndex studio to talk music, stories and experiences from the music industry. It will be good news to those who have nagged me to get him in, as various people in my music group have been eager to hear Matty's life through the desire of music. 
Matty (I have to say) is a great story teller and overall a genuine nice guy. It was lovely to hear Matty talk about his childhood and the here and now where he thrives as a bar owner and music teacher. His desire is to create a positive music scene with his community through his work in music and DJing, creating events and educating young DJs and musicians to come out of their shell and embrace the music world. As well as that, Matty is embarking on a mega project within his bar business, creating opportunities for music lovers, artists in all fields and Disc Jockeys to embrace their inner music desires in the region. 
I would like to thank Matty for coming in and creating an epic podcast for our ears.

Music & Me Podcast - Episode #9 featuring. Matty Innocent

Double figures! oh yes.. A warm welcome to Episode 10 of Music and Me. In this podcast, I invite Disc Jockey and producer Lee Pennington into the studio to talk music and stories in the music industry. 
Lee has DJ'd for years.. and has embarked on an incredible journey that continues to shine day by day. House music is the go to, and this is what Lee has the pleasure to produce and play when gigging. Lee is a proud owner of The Zoo Project that originated in ibiza, as well as a resident and creator of the event 'Riff Raff' that has ran for 21 years and counting here in the North East.
As a child, Lee's desire to music was nothing but magic, playing with various equipment such as camcorders, and that sparked this DJ the hunger to grab some belt drives and DJ for real. The experiences growing up from that has been remarkable, DJing in clubs and going into production, both in making the music for the clubs pleasure and also in movies, working alongside Smoggy Productions. 
What a journey.. I would like to thank Lee Pennington of coming in and making this podcast a belter. I wish him nothing but the best.

Welcome, one and all to Music and Me Episode 11 and this week, I invite in Leon La Rosa, a resident DJ for Club Egg and Ministry of Sound and also a Radio host for Select Radio, based in London. 
Leon (fortunately for myself) was in the North East anyhow for Riff Raff in Middlesbrough but found the time and space to feature on this addition of Music and Me. And wow.. this was a belter. Leon's passion and desire to music is pure magic and his storytelling is pitch perfect. 
Leon loves house music and this is the go to genre when gigging in his residency clubs back in his home, London. 
This DJ also hosts a radio show called 'Select Radio', a station that introduces new music by upcoming artists as well as selected tracks by Leon that he loves to listen to. 
Leon is a great storyteller, and goes into mega detail about the music scene, both growing up and the here and now, inspecting the scenes and the culture around the music. 
I'd like to thank Leon for coming in and sharing some amazing stories and experiences. I wish him all the best.

Welcome to episode 12 of Music & Me. The episodes are stacking up and the list of DJs willing to come on is also stacking. 
This week, I invite and have the pleasure to speak with John Banks, a DJ that is loved and known to a community of Makina and Italian dance lovers. Most known for live streaming in his kitchen, John brings smiles to everyone’s faces when he spins his records, sips his beer and bounces around to the one thing that shapes his life whole, music. 
John got a desire of DJing from hanging out with pals in his local club and listening to one particular track that hit the right note to give the DJing a go. 
John is a music lover of all genres but it’s particularly Italian dance with girly vocals that just ticks the right boxes, alongside some Makina, in which in both of them genres, John has a huge collection of records. 
And with that, over the years, he has played at a variety of gigs that support the genre scene such as The Colosseum reunions. 
John, a great story teller, a very humble guy and a great DJ. It was a great pleasure to have him in to talk all things DJing and music.

Pinch yourself moment.. Trance god, legend and producer, Lange made it into the antndex studio! I know right!? What are the odds on that? Lets hope more big names like this one take the opportunity to pop in like he did and share the amazing stories behind the big tunes and remixes made over the years as well as the DJing and producing side as well. A warm welcome to Episode 13. You're in for a treat as we dive into the life of Stuart Langelaan AKA Lange, who we may know for the likes of the tracks Happiness Happening, Drifting Away, Normansland, Protect Your Soul and Follow me and many many more.
Lange originally from Shrewsbury, UK has been Producing and Remixing Dance music professionally since signing to Additive records in October 1997 and his love for music shines like no other. As the age got older, he found Trance as his go to in terms of listening and producing as he loves the melodies and the tones that come with it.
When Lange's career started back in 97, he gained early popularity with a collection of releases that caught the attention of industry leaders like Paul van Dyk, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, and Judge Jules.
His label, Lange Recordings, was established in 2004 and became a prominent platform for trance music, featuring Lange's own releases as well as those of other artists like Andy Moor, Tritonal, and Gareth Emery.
Growing up myself, I discovered Lange through my brother, Thomas, when one day he played Protect Your Soul in his bedroom, mixing on his turntables, and it was that day I fell in love with Trance music and Lange's work itself, and from then I had to research more and more. 
Lange is considered one of the most influential dance artists, known for his unique production style and his role as a DJ at the forefront of the trance scene.
Lange's breakthrough and recognition opened up massively when sending demos to Future Music magazine, and his track "Sureal - You Take My Breath Away" went into the UK Top 10.
A majority of the Trance audience will know Lange from his track 'Follow me' feat. The Morrighan which aired on the iconic film 'Kevin and Perry Go Large'. This tune will live long and hard in the memory (mine especially)

Music & Me Podcast - Episode #13 featuring. Lange

Episode 14.. here we go! I've very much looked forward to having this gent in. And a first to the show, an MC as well as producer and DJ.  
Daniel Wilkinson AKA MC Kinson lives and breathes music in a lot of different ways, and takes every opportunity in his stride to embrace it. The region we live in may know Kinson as an MC at big events, warming up the crowd with rap and motivational shout outs during a DJ set. 
Outside the MC'ing, Kinson makes and produces variations of music, from dance, to makina and hip hop as well as lyric writing and rapping. Although Kinson has his stamp on the music and rapping, credit also sways towards the artists he works with, such as Neon Blue, Becky Cooke, Lee Johnston, Cobra, Kirstie Smiler and Ella Brown. 
Kinson showcases his newest project on the show, his album, Sound Of The North, which features the artists he works with above. This album offers a variation of different sounds as well as a massive representation for the beautiful North East we live in, which features in a lot of the lyrics. 
Kinsons storytelling is lovely, and this episode went down a treat I must say.

The name is Anton, and I use Dex.. I am A Vinyl and controller Disc Jockey. 

Music is life, that’s why our hearts have beats, and music has been with me since I was a child. Picking up the love for it is with thanks to my brother, Thomas, who is also a DJ. Heavily into A State of Trance and various House music as a young lad, my passion and desire to use Decks was something I had to jump on and so I did, grabbing my first set up back in 2019. Throughout the days before this set up, I would often use my brothers, but getting your own is something you get a drive for. 

Since the set up, I have digged crates like never before, as I loved the original vinyl records full stop. Classic/Progressive/Tech and Melodic Trance. House, Tech house and Techno/Melodic Techno is where the focus is, and will forever be the focus. 

Outside the music, I now host my own podcast, giving DJs a chance to showcase their journeys and stories of how they became DJs and why. After all, we all get here some way or another. You can find this podcast on Spotify as well as here. Search- Music & Me - The antndex Podcast. 

I’m also a huge Middlesbrough FC fan and an ambassador for Autism. I collect coffee stamps to get a free one (because.. who doesn’t like free stuff?!) Work wise, I’m a full time Teaching Assistant in Special Educational Needs and a freelance nightclub DJ.
