On My Beach is meant to feel and sound like the place I go to mentally when I feel depressed. Cut off from everything, not sure how I got there, and a complete certainty that there is no exit. I've learnt to exist in this place and accept it for what it is, and sometimes it even feels like a comfort. I envisage it as some ethereal plane but a literal beach at the same time. The loneliness is less consuming if you take time to listen to the waves.

On My Beach

The track reflects the atmosphere of a dark, deserted city with its rhythm, diversity, and various parts, from a lively residential area to an abandoned industrial zone. We encounter this rich palette during a lengthy walk. Hence, the wide range of tones in the track, ranging from extreme opposites: warm and cold, harmonious and atonal, musical and noisy. Many sounds are associated with the urban environment: car signals, gusts of wind, rain, insects, creaking structures, construction sites or a production floor. All of this is enveloped by a cyclical background with a distant melody. Just as urban locations change during a walk, scenes in the track dynamically shift, transporting us from peaceful places to more intense ones, evoking a range of emotions.
