INDEX0X0XL is the second release of our pan-sensory bouquet, distilled to provoke and whet our deepest of lusts. An atomised, sway-inducing solution to seduce and ensnare the most sated souls, thru an intoxicating rhapsody of notes – a Venus in slurs.

Textur is proud to present the debut EP of Quiver. His EP ‘Artificial Tranquility’ (TXT-07) commutes between emotional narratives and persistent patterns. The music aims to create a listening experience that invokes both eeriness and familiarity, placed somewhere in between organism and cynicism.

Creating a sonic meeting-space, in which organic and warm timbres from the pipe organ and other acoustic instruments intertwine with the cold and cynical properties of digital sound-design, the EP explores worlds and timbres that are essentially ‘in between’.

The photo-mosaic cover-art has been created by photographer Nicola Hein. Much like the music found on the EP, it has taken form as an abstract piece composed of contrasting yet recognisable pieces of textures and shredded materials.

The EP is the seventh release on Textur, a small non-profit label and music collective rooted in Copenhagen, with an ambition to create a platform for exposure, collaboration and community among artists outside the commercial music scene.

Premiere: Quiver - Artificial Tranquility [Textur]

ALBUM FOUND is about finding an expression with the nature of a physical medium of sound, analog audio tape. Working with a physical medium, the process is less effective and requires patience, acceptance of limitation and a certain loss of control to the ‘will’ of the medium. 
I find that the outcome is rewarding on both a sonic and personal level. 
Features like character, presence and tactility in the sound along with a more troubled workflow is the nature of this old technology. Essentially the tape machines offer a space of sonic possibilities to explore. All tracks on ALBUM FOUND are found in live performances with my tape machine-setup - somewhere between intention and chance.

ALBUM FOUND is releasing on ØEN REC on the 19th of august.

Hviledag - Transient Bodies

ØEN Records and @Hviledag are proud to release a full album with reworked versions of Hviledag’s ALBUM FOUND.  

The reel to reel tape loop-based work is taken in new directions by a local lineup of composers: Johan Carøe, Bjarke Rasmussen, Mads Kinnerup, FATÄK, Quiver, Alba Liv, Emil Duvier, Mikkel Oldrup and Mikael Tobias who mastered the remixes in Joel Krozers SixBitDeep studio.    

The artwork is made by Lille Blomst and features an image that comes from experimental animation film FILM FOUND directed by Claudia Munksgaard-Palmqvist.

  ALBUM FOUND is originally made with a special setup of two quarter inch tape machines that let Hviledag iterate and develop a tapeloop as it’s playing. The output is a stereo file, with no stems, which posed a creative challenge met by the composers in various ways.

Stefan Fraunberger's Quellgeister#3 Bussd is Recorded entirely on an abandoned church's organ in the village of Bussd, Romania, the album is the third installment of the series by Austrian artist and composer Stefan Fraunberger. His research on the influence of nature on culture touches on time, periphery, memory, and transience as evidenced in his Quellgeister research. The album is an archeological sonic research on the deteriorating Organ discovered in the saxon church in Transylvania.
