In this period, I had the possibility to come back to my hometown and spend some time with my synthesizers.
I usually record the entire live session in order to reanalyze things when I am away from my machines.
Thus, I thought I had to pick some of the most significative parts of two of these "semi-lockdown" sessions ("GIORNO1" and "GIORNO2").

I put these cuts here in chronological order, as they were originally made.
I tried to limit myself, using only the microKorg as a sound generator and a single track to fill.
The entire selection may appear quite rough but wanted to capture these moments as they were, a snapshot of something, avoiding overdub and post-production.

Ateq: გერმანელი პროდიუსერი და DJ, ვაიმარში დაფუძნებული ბოლო დროის ერთ-ერთი ყველაზე აღსანიშნავი ლეიბლის Giegling წევრი და თანადამაარსებელი.  Ateq-ის დისკოგრაფია 2011 წელს,  Giegling-ზე გამოსული Res EP-ით იწყება. ამ ლეიბლს ეკუთვნის მისი მომდევნო რელიზებიც. Ateq-ის ტრეკები და სეტები პირდაპირ დაკავშირებულია Giegling-ის კოლექტივის გამორჩეული და დასამახსოვრებელი საუნდის ჩამოყალიბებასთან. Ateq-ის ჟღერადობა  მელანქოლიურია და წარმოადგენს დაბის, მინიმალ ტექნოს და ჰაუსის სინთეზს.

Ateq: German Producer and Dj, who is one of the key members of today’s most special and interesting label by many opinions. Ateq’s first release for Giegling came out in 2011, an EP named “Res” and the imprint has been his only platform since then. His productions and sets are directly connected to forming the Giegling crew’s unique and memorable sounds. Minimal and melancholic vibes in Ateq’s music is a synthesis of dub, techno and house.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Motown, the iconic record label launched in 1959 in Detroit, Michigan by Berry Gordy Jr., Carhartt WIP will release a thirteen-piece capsule collection in the coming weeks. The collaboration honors a label that reshaped the sound of American pop music, diversifying its airwaves in the process. 

To mark the collection launch, we reached out to Detroit native Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann and asked him to prepare a strictly Motown music Carhartt WIP Radio show, that displays his personal love for the label.
 
As Moodymann is not man for hasty reactions, he delivered a detailed mix featuring rare b-sides, interviews and live recordings by Motown artists like Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Steve Wonder, Kem and Dazz Band. Asked about his very own feelings towards his mix, Kenny Dixon Jr. simply says: “No matter where I‘m standing it’s good to hear home sometimes. These songs are woven into the soundtrack of my own personal movie.”  There is nothing more to add, only: enjoy the ride!
