Eclectic and talented drummer, here in open match with the style of Paul Motian, one of the most incredible drummers of all times, Antonio Fusco rearranges some tunes from Bill Evans’ album, combining them with original composition and free-improvised interludes, basing through extemporaneity an unique link between his own music and the one from “Waltz for Debby”.
 
The Suite dedicated to Paul Motian represents the edge of an artistic path, a research in style, from which a new vision of the drums come out, not only as a member of the rhythmic section, but as an instrument with its own peculiarities in terms of sound and interpretation, overcoming the stereotypes associated with ordinary drummers.
 
This is a project where different styles meet up: free jazz, radical improvisation, funk, echoes from classical music (Detour Ahead is an exemplary one), and drum&bass, in order to express experimental music concepts that go beyond schemes.

Antonio Fusco is one of the most important and original drummers of the European Jazz scene. Always helpful and attentive to new trends in the jazz and music in general, he is currently involved in various European progect, including: Giovanni Falzone Contemporary Orchestra, Tino Tracanna Acrobats, No Pair, Reem Kelani Band, Henrik Jensen Followed By Thirteen, SEULS. In the 2011 he founded the project - Antonio Fusco Sextet- “Suite For Motian” and in the 2014 it was released with the italian label Auditorium Parco Della Musica Records, getting great consent from the national critically. The 2014 is also the beginning of a new trio project with two brilliant musicians of the UK jazz scene: the pianist Bruno Heinen and the danish bassist Henrik jensen. He play's with important musicians of the international jazz scene including: Tim Berne, Paolo Fresu, Tino Tracanna, Paolino Dalla Porta, Francesco Bearzatti Tinissima 4et, Reem Kelani, Antonio Zambrini, Andrè Canniere, Esben Tjalve.
 
He's the author of the drums method  "LA COORDINAZIONE (The Coordination) " published by the Italian publishing house Edizioni Esarmonia. Antonio Fusco was interviewed on several importatn national newspapers including Musikateneo, Drums and Percussion, Senza Barcode (Web magazine) and JAZZIT.
 
In 2014 he was entered in the new edition of the " Dictionary of The Italian jazz" written by Flavio Caprera for Feltrinelli editions.
 
In 2013 he enters in the prestigious Team of the" CANOPUS drums" as endorser for Italy / Germany and from 2014 as an endorser of the Italian sticks " MR DRUMS"  of Titian Dugnani.
