A freely improvised duo piece recorded with Alex Pryrodny. This was literally our last and most successful attempt of "composing" a free piece together.

05 Free Flight

The title and idea of the piece applies to the group of people who have united themself by the means of social networking in a non-hierarchical and non-structural fashion. Faceless and disordered they act like a collective transpersonal mind to fight evils of today that’s being imposed by their governmental reciprocal.

Like In A Beehive

A piece that is addressing the philosophical topic of “freedom and creativity of an individual”. What does it really take for someone to become free? How can one become free in his creativity? Is it an inside or an outside challenge that we need to take?

Secret Knowledge

Title Journey Of The Lightheaded – is directly related to the short cartoon film. As written in foreword to the movie: “Lightheaded  is a journey we take with temperature sensitive candle creatures who sacrifice what they know to become who they are”

2nd Part of the Suite For Jazz Orchestra

My first foot into not-so functional harmony along with some counterpoint thinking when building up a texture. 
Originally composed for a big band was later rearranged for an octet, which seems to be a better instrumental solution for this particular piece.

Coming Back (Live)

Inspired by the book of Russian fantasy author, this piece incorporates few different melodic approaches at the same time and a few stylistic devices. The tools borrowed from Bela Bartok and his folk arrangements, modern jazz drum and Bass etc. Originally composed to feature vibraphone and hang (a Swiss hand drum).  This version played by an octet with a Vibraphone only.

Meditation I

A n t o n 	  P y v o v a r o v 	 
is a saxophonist and composer who was	 born and raised in Ukraine.	
 He started playing saxophone at the age of eleven and was shaped by broad range	 of influences from his music environment that included classical	 music, jazz and folk music of different cultures.
 Anton has recorded his first album at the age of nineteen and since then has performed	 continuously at various International Jazz festivals, appeared	 at several TV and radio shows in Ukraine.

In  2007 Anton	 was	 granted a	 scholarship to study at the New School University in New York. After being graduate he kept on working in the group of his former teacher - legendary	 drummer Chico Hamilton, whose influence helped him to bring his	 skills to a	new	 level	  and	 to develop his own voice. 
Nowadays Anton lives in Austria. He actively performs and writes music  for large and small ensembles, performances solo and makes music for diverse electronic media.  His Big Band pieces "Coming Back" and "Journey Of The Lightheaded" were nominated for prizes at the international composition competitions.
