Give Me Room

Antonn was born in Detroit, MI, the third of five children raised in a household full of music. Antonn found it somewhat of a challenge to identify his own personality and uniqueness with a house filled with musician. Around the age of six, his parents discovered that he not only played piano but he could sing and write songs too. Some have referred to him as a child prodigy, which made him feel different.  He then realized music was going to be his life’s passion! He became intensely focused on fine tuning his God given talents, envisioning one day he would be known worldwide as a creative song writer and vocalist.
A few of Antonn’s musical influences are: Marvin Gay, Bobby Womack, Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Musiq, Joe, Ne-yo, Usher, and Raheem Devine, including numerous gospel artists.
Over the next twelve years he sang, played piano and directed the choir at his uncle’s church on the west side of Detroit. His senior year at Mackenzie High School, Antonn started a group with four friends called the Men Of Harmony.
The group decided to pursue a record deal. They performed at the Fox Theater along with Vickie Winans for the Martin Luther King celebration. They also won first place in the Eastern Michigan College talent show, later in that year they sang at the grand opening of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. They also sang at the celebrity basketball game given by Michael McCary of Boys II Men in which they shared the stage with Usher, Brain McKnight, and Dru Hill.
The dream of getting a recording deal was quickly shattered after the group broke up six months after graduation.
Antonn didn’t give up and decided to go solo. He started writing love songs, blending soul, jazz and pop. Because of his gospel roots, you’ll recognize a taste of it in his style of music too.  In such a competitive industry as music, his ability to play the piano, organ and saxophone, gives him an impressive edge.
Antonn relocated to Atlanta G.A. to pursue a record deal.  He performed on stage with E-40, Cash Money, Young Bloodz, Robert Curry, Adina Howard, Fat Joe, Purple Ribbon All-Stars, City (aka Cookie man) and Skino Brown in which Antonn produced the music for two songs, one of which caught the attention of New York rappers Fabulous and Papus who appeared on the song. After two years in Atlanta, Antonn dedicated to return home to Detroit. He never gave up on his dream.
Detroit City Councilman James Tate solicited Antonn to create a song for his campaign “Better Detroit”. The radio audience loves the song so much that they want to release it as the new City Anthem.
Antonn has completed his debut album “Hooked On You” expected to a Great body of work.
