Here is my cover of 'Loro' by Pinback. I absolutely love this song and knew I wanted to do a cover the second I heard it. I played and performed all the instruments and vocals, as well as mixing and mastering this record at Bear Noise Studios.

‘Host’ is the third single from UK based electronic music artist Antony Cull. Inspired by the architecture and atmosphere of a trip to Amsterdam, Host celebrates a blending of new and old styles. 

With a focus on old school Trance arrangements with crisp pianos and rich textured pads. These are then blended with a house drum beats and the noisy dense synth that have characterised the his latest musical sounds. The sections constantly evolves before reaching a half time break complete with filtered square wave bass before building with an arpeggiator to a climax to bring all of the previous ideas together. After the track reaches its heights the synths fall away as the tempo gradually drops. Host aims to give a slice of the feelings Amsterdam gives its visitors.

'Lily Pads Await' is a melancholic blend of modern minimalism, ambient soundscapes and electronic chill out. The track is constantly evolving with rich pads, thick bass and lo-fi textures. The track is designed to transport the listener to a planes that flows between reflective, hopeful and heartbroken.

Lily Pads Await

‘Restart the Sun’ is the fourth single from electronic music producer Antony Cull. The track begins with rich and spacious pad textures with echoes of the melodic hook. The pads build till the first drop arrives with a minimalist beat and rich detuned lead synths that jump out of the speakers. The new feel breakdowns to a new minimalist chill out feel complete with lo-fi arpeggios and trance like pad sounds. As the breakdown builds the section culminates with the kick drum announcing the final drop and lifts the mood delivering on the hopeful harmonies of the song. The final drop is driven by a synth wave inspired beat which combined with the octaves on the bass pulse under the soaring detuned synth melodies. This is the return of light and hope the track has promised throughout whilst never loosing it the vast emptiness of the pads. The coda returns to the feel of the opening as the last drop fades till the final chord that leaves the feel finished but not completely resolved. 

The idea for this track came to me several years ago from a guitar riff that since became the main hook. Unlike so many ideas that fade overtime or get replaced by the latest this one just kept looping around my head. I see this as a companion piece for the last single ‘Lily Pads Await’ that refocuses my new musical direction for future releases.
