Next up and incoming at Pro B Tech Music, we warmly welcome another first-time original from Tulum Music - Soundscape Moog. This EP comes with 3 x Originals from Tulum, Soundscape Moog, Clipped Sweep & Players. In addition, we have 3 remixes to support: 1 from Bulldozer and 2 from Hernan Serrao. We kick things off with the title track Soundscape Moog, the guys take no prisoners here a full on 4/4 Prog monster, that has grinding basslines, pads and acid throughout, we love it. Next up is Clipped Sweep, this is another outstanding production from the guys, another outstanding slice of Prog, solid kick, driving bass guaranteed to destroy a dance floor, this is another biggie!! We then welcome back Bulldozer with their remix of Clipped Sweep, this maintains the drive of the original whilst taking things in slightly deeper direction, a very welcome return here. Finally on Clipped Sweep we have a very close friend and regular to Pro B coming in from Argentina Hernan Serrao, Hernan does what he does best, he lifts the sound and gives that South American, Argentinian feel we all love, outstanding. Next is the final original from the Tulum guys, Players, this is has a deeper feel to it but very much drive to it, something that will get your head down, feet moving, and hands in there through the break. Then last but not least we have Hernan back once again to give his work to Players, Once again Hernan lifts the sound, brings in more melodic elements which float through out whilst keeping things moving. The third and final instalment from the ‘Charmer Remixed’ series features reworks from Darius Syrossian, Emanuel Satie and Shit Robot; more dancefloor gold offered up by the man with the golden mask.

Throughout 2017, the three-part ‘Charmer Remixed’ project has seen tracks from Claptone’s debut album reworked; a collection of remixes which close the curtain on the ‘Charmer’ chapter but leave us all wanting more and anticipating what he has planned for us next.
 
The final EP in the series features three peak-time cuts, including a typically powerful weapon from the UK tech-house luminary Darius Syrossian, a classy remix from hotly-tipped Berlin producer Emanuel Satie and finally a deep and dark interpretation from DFA mainstay Shit Robot.
 
Part 3 concludes a project which has also seen reworks from Justin Martin, Timo Maas, Format:B, Raumakustik  and Superlover.

Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave imprint has undoubtedly laid down seriously solid foundations. Now well into double figure, the label’s catalogue is forming into a formidable body of work with Alan’s anthemic ‘We Do What We Want’ backed up with a string of club bangers from Gary Beck, Reset Robot and Boxia, plus Fitzpatrick’s mammoth ‘El Jefe’ collaboration with Sasha, which closed out the labels 2017 release schedule in grand style.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Fitzpatrick is back in the driving seat and raring to go again. “I feel a real strong energy right now around the label and I am massively focused on pushing on from the really great start We Are The Brave has enjoyed”, he enthuses. To be fair it is not hard to see why with landmark occasions such as the highly anticipated (and totally sold out) 5000 capacity Alan Fitzpatrick’s Day Festival happening in Dublin on 17th March. After all, who can argue with that most over-used of clichés - fortune favours the Brave!

Of course, Alan’s first release of the year is a mega one. “These tracks have all been born in a different time and space, ranging all the way back in 2015 through to the end of last year. But I think together they fit well, which goes to show that like everything really, but certainly anything creative, it doesn’t make sense to rush things” says Alan

Lead track ‘Colour Of A Dream’ comes with cleverly crafted percussion and energetic claps alongside a dominant vocal, making the track instantly recognizable in the depths of any dancefloor. “I found myself looking back through old hard drives and I guess I found a lot of fresh inspiration from rediscovering music. It feels good to know an idea that has been lay dormant can all of a sudden become relevant, given the right time and space” adds Alan.

Next up, surging with fierce authority is ‘Joy Rider’ with its trademark thumping Fitzpatrick kick drum. A ravey synthetic hook line creates a gritty warehouse vibe, which is in complete contrast to the melodic, end-of-night-euphoria experience that is ‘Together Until The End’ - a truly musical work that oozes texture and emotion.

Two contrasting remixes of ‘Space Date’ come courtesy of Pleasurekraft and John Monkman, as the three-way collaboration between Adam Beyer, Layton Giordani and Green Velvet continues to thrill. Joining the strong reworks is an unexpected treat for fans; a last-minute inclusion of a fresh new original track from the trio.

Drumcode got its first taste of Pleasurekraft’s unique production touch in 2016 when ‘Dopefield’ dropped on ‘A-Sides Vol.5’. The Swedish/American duo’s exploration of cosmic techno realms made them the ideal candidates to re-work ‘Space Date’. Their contribution is as visceral as they come; defined by a hypnotic vocal arrangement, a stirring call and response melody and propulsive galloping beats fashioned for peak-time moments. No surprise it was a highlight of Adam Beyer’s Ultra Resistance sets and gobsmacked Maceo Plex who requested a promo to play at Time Warp a week later.

Meanwhile Drumcode debutant John Monkman steps up with a very different, but not less deadly reinterpretation of ‘Space Date’. The Brit has impressed in recent times with strong releases on Ellum, Kompakt and his own Beesemyer imprint, and takes this form into DC207. His is a twisted intergalactic re-rub drenched in warped electro, blistering modular sounds and touches of IDM that manages the difficult task of taking the original to darker, more leftfield realms without ever losing its powerful dancefloor pulse.
