As you step out to confront the fiend that has been terrorizing the mountain folk, you know this might be the battle of a lifetime. You're glad you broght warm clothes.

Another "entry" for my #7DaysOfVGM-challenge, that is usually being hosted by VGM Academy, but that I started early on. A big ol' Boss Fight, and for me a step towards finally confronting big, epic compositions.

#2 - Waltz With Monsieur Avalanche

You breath in the cold, fresh air and take a look around. Untouched snow sparkles in the sunlight under a clear blue sky. This is the moment - you pick up your gear and start your journey north.

This one was a tough nut to crack! It's meant to be a background track for some sort of first level (RPG, Adventure, Poin-and-Click, you name it). So it's supposed to be subtle as to not take over the spotlight, but also needs to have enough energy to drive you forward. All the while I wanted to stay true to the overarching theme of "Snow & Ice", so there are a lot of bells and bright, glassy noises and sounds.

A blues influenced track with banjo, dobro guitar, spoons (played by yours truly!), double bass, fiddle, and 'jug' (actually an udu but close enough xD).

The kind of stuff you might find if you wander off the beaten track into the bayou...
