Welcoming the illustrious korrē to Basal Rate to debut their mixtape Left Ear Open and a small Q&A to pair. Starting at 23:35 the tape samples a conversation between James Baldwin and Nikki Giovanni throughout. I was really impressed and really glad to host this on the show.

Korrē is an NYC based artist with recent releases on Perimeter Junk and Diffuse Reality. They have been hard at work on their forthcoming project Grief Expert, for which this episode serves as a preview.

For our 65th mix, we are excited to present NYC techno enthusiast sweetheart community champion major head @antron22

Antron has been doing his Basal Rate twice a month on 8ball Radio since 2022. I met him at the inspiring 8ball studios when I was visiting for a show with @sorry-records @nickboydnyc -- just way too much good energy for one room if you ask me. He took this past summer to hit the woodshed on vinyl mixing, and after many sweaty hours hunched over the mixer, this is the first mix he's unleashing from the zone. We are proud he wanted to house it in our mix series. Listening to his mixes, I always get so excited about techno.
