Sir Black’s face went mik-pale as he exited his time machine into a new dimension. 
“Why is this time machine broken and sending me to other dimensions?” he asked, scratching his head.
A dismember voice from a dark hall creeped in saying, “Yeeowser, sur! We thinks youssa torn between Earths.”
Sir Black spun a circle. “Who said that?”
“Tee Hee. Tee Hee…” replied the same incourprial voice.
Sir Black’s breaths quickened and his voice shook. “Who are you? Show yourself.”
“I am a splinter. A shadow on the wall. The dark abysmal shadow swarming from the hall.” the creeping voice said.
“I have a knife,” Sir Black warned.
“Oh, sweet little girl, I can not save you from your pain. Bear me no ill will for I cannot save me just the same. Ooowee! I says, I cane not… no sur-reee I cane not save yuhhhhs!”
Sir Black’s brow furrowed. “Who are you calling a little girl? I'm a grown ass man, my good sir.”
“Whhaaaahhhhtttt?” howled the voice. “No. no. no. Not again. Bleak nightmares! An ode to something I once adored.”
“Haunted voice of this torn between Earths, you be too vague and nebulous.” Sir Black said.
“Bleak nightmares,” the voice said again. “An ode to something I held before.”
“Tell me please, who are you?” Sir Black begged with folded hands.
“Oh, yousa want our name sur? Yousa want to know? Foul intrusion of meat and blood and other moistness wants our name?” the agitated voice asked. “I am nightmare Governor Urth.”
“Stay away. This is the last knife!” Sir Black replied. 
“Wait. Did you say the ‘last’ knife?” the voice asked.
“I did.”
“Eeeek!” The fleeing voice trailed down the hall. As it faded, a clank of tin smacked upon the floor. It rattled to a soft silence. Sir Black walked to the shiny round object and held it to the dim light. Upon it read, master reel of Blackurth the imfamous industrial metal band's, You Creep In.
Sir Black rushed to his time machine and quickly disappeared.

The Bells (Day Twelve Remix); abbreviated version

“Elegies in Darkness” is the title of the 11th studio album by Diary of Dreams, and the name speaks for itself – the new work couldn’t have been deeper, darker, more organic or more melancholic. All the time, it feels familiar to be lead through the dark compositions of this apocalyptic epic, and yet there’s always the sense of some kind of hope within the darkness, some positive thought, some sincerity. Lyric-wise, four songs come with German words while the rest are in English, and they lead the way through an incredibly eclectic album, mindfully produced with great care for detail – small wonder that it took the band three years to come up with this spectacular masterpiece! But it definitely has been worth the wait …

You’ll dip into deep and viscous soundscapes strengthened by big choirs and massive orchestras, but also into pounding rhythms, touching ballads, pulsating club hymns and apocalyptic grooves. The album thrives on its variety, diversification, power, dynamics, fragility and last but not least on the experience that defines every single note. Adrian Hates – the charismatic voice and song writer of the band – was particularly keen to make sure that the album he calls EiD wasn’t composed within a higher, conceptual setting: he wanted to create an individual history for every track and provide these singular pieces with a common headline to connect and unify them. This work is emotionally song-orientated, while the compositions of the album have a strong connection to each other.

In contrast to the previous record, guitars have reclaimed the role they typically had with Diary of Dreams before: sometimes you don’t even realize that the unusual sounds you’re hearing are brought forth by guitar strings, sometimes they are responsible for the power and dominance of a track, and sometimes they provide the delicate and tender melodies melting skillfully into the whole soundscape. The overwhelming co-existence of synthetic sounds and classical stylistics has always been the main attraction that provides the unusual and extraordinary characteristics of Diary of Dreams. As, without doubt, this new album proves once again.

The band has played more than 500 concerts in 36 different countries … there are only a few bands who can claim such a history, and Diary of Dreams have every right to do so: They live their dream … as darkly beautiful and melancholy it may be.

Have you ever been? 

Das ist sicher eine Frage, mit der man sich als Mensch ab und an auseinandersetzt, aber auch ein Text, der 1998 von Bone geschrieben zu unserem ersten Song wurde.

15 Jahre später, um genau zu sein 2013, gründeten wir das Projekt 
"Antz & Bones",  weil uns das Band der Freundschaft und eben auch "Have you ever been" seit fast 20 Jahren zusammenhält. Seit dieser Zeit begleitet uns die musikalische Kreativität.  

Über die Jahre wurde der Drang, wieder gemeinsam Musik zu machen, immer stärker und dabei versuchten wir 300 km Entfernung zu überbrücken, was uns mit unseren ersten Stücken auch gelungen ist.

Wie beschreiben wir nun unsere Musik? Im Grunde ist die Antwort simple: 


Wir machen Musik à la Antz & Bones.


Wir möchten uns, unsere Gedanken und Gefühle auf diese Weise ausdrücken und uns in der musikalischen Gestaltung verwirklichen.

Sicher ist der Himmel nicht immer grau, aber er ist auch nicht immer blau und das spiegelt sich in unseren Songs wider: Von dunkel bis rockig und von der Hoffnungslosigkeit zum Gefühl des Aufbruchs lassen sich düster atmosphärisch elektronische Elemente, wie auch offene Gitarrensoli in unserer Musik finden.

Wir sind stolz auf das bereits Erreichte, zumal "Have you ever been" beim ‚Sonic Seducer Battle of the Bands 2002‘ Platz 30 erreichen konnte und wir lassen uns überraschen wohin uns unser weiterer Weg führen wird.

Was heißt nun eigentlich "Wir"? Wir sind Bone und Andy aus Limbach - Oberfrohna und Berlin.
