 Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,

The Bestower of happiness,
 Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction.

General meaning: We meditate on that most adored Supreme Lord, the creator, whose effulgence (divine light) illumines all realms (physical, mental and spiritual). 
May this divine light illumine our intellect.

The Meaning of the Mantra

We worship the three-eyed One, who is fragrant and who nourishes all.
Like the fruit falls off from the bondage of the stem, may we be liberated from death, from mortality.

Maha + Mrityun + Jaya
The mantra is the unification of three words, Maha- great, Mrityun- death and Jaya- victory; the one who victor the death. According to Hindu mythology, the mantra is also referred as Mrita-Sanjivini mantra because of its "life-restoring" practice - one that can bring anyone back from the clutches of death.

Meaning of the Mantra -

Literal meaning of the mantra 
Aum - Universal Salutation
Triambakam - The Three eyed one (Shivji)
Yajamahe - We worship
Sugandhim - like sweet fragrance
Pushtivardhanam - increases / nourishes (pushti and vardhan are both words for increase)
Urmarukmiv - like a cucumber
Bandhanan - from the bondages
Mrityormukshiya - free me from the bondages of death
Mamratat - and lead me to immortality (or don't free me from immortality)

Benefits and Importance of Mantra Chanting:

Mantras are sound vibrations. They set up the vibrations within the body. Our body at cellular and atomic level is vibratory in nature. When there is harmony in the vibrations at the cellular level, we experience well being and health. The  MahaMrityunjaya Mantra enables to set up vibrations within such that the vibrational harmony within is attained. This leads to Health for self and Healing for others for whom the mantra is chanted. So, with the regular chanting of MahaMrityunjaya Mantra one can gain Health and Well being at the physical, the mental and the spiritual level. This mantra should be chanted for health and well being for others as well as oneself.

This rendition of The Pranava 🕉 Mantra Chant, was born out of deeper connection with the Divine within. With utmost faith, acknowledging the spiritual essence in my life, I strongly believe that my intention will be met. 

The recording session of this chant was beautifully timed on the sacred night of Maha Shivratri at the frequency of 963 hertz…one of the most powerful & healing of the Solfeggio Frequencies, associated with higher spiritual understanding. Also known as the “Pure Miracle Tone” and “Frequency of the Gods”. It helps build connections both within oneself and the universe. Hope my energy resonates with anyone who connects through this chant.
