Anurag embarked on his musical journey as a flute player with deep-rooted training in Indian Classical Music at the age of 9. With the expert guidance of his teacher and dedication, he made his debut performance on Indian National Television (Doordarshan) at the age of 12. Anurag's musical prowess also earned him the opportunity to perform regularly as a junior artist for All India Radio, as well as at various music festivals in India and Sweden. He took a little break from the music to resume his studies of Mathematics at university. 

In 2006, Anurag's life journey brought him to Sweden, immersing him in the vibrant music scene of Stockholm, renowned for its dynamic house and electronic music culture. During this time, he reconnected with his longtime friend, Pawas, who frequently visited Stockholm and deeply engaged with the city's music culture. Their conversations during Swedish fika sessions sparked a creative synergy, where they delved into the intricacies of different music genres.

Amidst these discussions, an innovative idea took root in Anurag's mind—to merge the rich melodic depths of Indian classical music with the rhythmic layers of house and electronica.
Inspired by the concept of jugalbandi or a duet in Indian classical music, Anurag and Pawas, both accomplished soloists in their own right, joined forces to create something extraordinary. Together, they formed Non Solo, a collaborative endeavor that would transcend conventional musical boundaries.

Non Solo became a platform for Anurag and Pawas to merge their individual artistry, combining the nuanced expressions of Indian classical music with the infectious rhythms of house and electronica. The project aimed to create a harmonious fusion that had not been explored in this manner before, presenting a groundbreaking musical experience for audiences. With their respective solo careers and expertise, Anurag and Pawas sought to push artistic boundaries and offer a fresh perspective on the convergence of traditional and contemporary musical genres.

Thus, Non Solo was born—an embodiment of Anurag and Pawas' shared vision and passion for musical exploration. Through their collaboration, they strive to captivate audiences with their innovative approach, inviting them on a musical journey that transcends cultural boundaries and showcases the power of artistic fusion.
