"Cause merupakan band pop asal Bogor berisikan para personil yang sudah cukup lama malang melintang di skena musik lokal Bogor. Band yang dimotori oleh Randy Asra Dahnial (Vokal/Gitar), Dito Buditrianto (Gitar), Ryan Rifkianda (Bass), Edu Christanto (Keyboard/Synthesizer), serta Dely Tambunan (Drum) ini telah merilis dua album penuh dan satu B-Sides sejak mereka terbentuk 6 tahun silam. “The Poacher” merupakan single ke-2 dari album penuh ke-2 mereka “The Man In Suit”, dan menjadi satu-satunya lagu yang menurut saya masih menyisakan jejak notasi pop a la album mereka sebelumnya. Hal yang membedakan adalah pengeksekusian pada lagu ini yang jelas terpengaruh oleh musik post-rock dengan formula ‘quite-loud, sentuhan harmoni vokal, instrumen minimalis, serta lirik lagu yang bercerita tentang tragedi seorang bocah berumur 10 tahun yang menjadi korban penembakan.
