Light Me Up

"Brighter Than The Sun" is a song about overcoming adversity and coming out victorious. It is about loving and accepting yourself for all that you are, and in that...finding freedom and power. This is a co-production with Dj Aaaron Musslewhite. 
The song was conceived as a dialogue between the inner self (represented by the jazzy baritone voice) and the outter self (the brash high rock tenor), as they come to an understanding and self-confidence during the bridge (represented by the heavy operatic baritone voice and the scale crossing across the registers). 
In this song I make use of a 5 octave range, from E♭2 to E♭7, and a contrast between extremely bifurcated tessitura. 

The music itself is a mixture of genres I love; glam rock, electro-pop, opera and a touch of jazz/swing.
