It’s been a while since our last ANYCAST but the long wait sure paid off. We’ve been waiting for this one with great anticipation and are proud to present our next guest on the series. Cesare @elrino is a Milano based DJ with a linkage to the Swiss alps and its community. He definitely doesn’t classify as the new kid on the block as he has been spinning those records for over a decade now. As he’s provided us with a vinyl only set, granting an inside into the depths of his collection. Starting and finishing things off with some carefully selected 70s funk/soul, r&b and hip hop tunes but managing to squeeze some more atmospheric and electronic influenced tracks in between. Coming together beautifully and really showcasing that flair behind the decks.

Phoebe, aka Bruno Trigo Gonçalves, has delivered some of the most desirable sonic infusions around today. A necessary agitator in the city of Lisbon’s underground, he is the founder of Troublemaker Records, collaborator with collectives Rádio Quântica and Planeta Manas, and a resident DJ at ‘mina’ and co-founder/resident DJ of ‘Curvs’. Phoebe is also a vital force in the field of live performance and production; with releases on Rotten Fresh and Sweet Love Making, a label he co-owns with Bleid, Phoebe’s razor sharp aural precision and aesthetic alludes to various different languages of Dance music, Ambient music, and other personal cosmologies, ones that define him as a sonically free producer and voice for the ever-ephemeral present. 

This mix sees Phoebe provide a near 60-minute descent into ‘Slow House anthems’, which is something he says he rarely has the opportunity to play. Luscious pads, shuffle-y drums and erotic vocals echo throughout, providing you all with a sense of sultry, smutty, sonic pleasure.

Maze's debut on Turnland contains two club-ready, proggy house tracks, while "Science Lesson" comes in two different versions. Both tracks take you back to the time when tech-house sounded more like Detroit than Tulum and trance more like house music than a polished sports car. While "Science Lesson" transports a deep and melancholic vibe with subliminal melodies, "the missing" manoeuvres the listener between spherical sounds and uplifting energy, while the vocal samples seem to fit perfectly into the arrangement.

Klix is a talented DJ and producer originally from Heidelberg, grew up in Frankfurt am Main and is now based in Berlin. He is co-founder of the Heidelberg based Breidenbach Label in which he still plays an important role in and remains at the forefront of the Heidelberg/Mannheim under- ground music scene, organizing various events across the two cities and inviting other exciting guests from across the globe.
