A voyage through lands where the organic and synthetic evolved in symbiosis, when the past and future coexist simultaneously. There one can hear piano and guitars from the 70s being led by digital synths, the chaotic sounds of electricity flowing through the dynamic tension of a jazz chord progressions, tribal beats played on a drum machine, the triomphant march of cyborgs preceding a moment where one wakes up after being adrift in an unknown sea. Amongst other sonic oddities.

The Tempest

A diving bell's descent in the ocean.
1st section - The drum and synth are the machinery used to lower the bell towards water, with the sound of wind in the background.
2nd (0:12) - Submersion. Joy and febrility at the sight of the wonderful landscape illuminated by refracted light. Presence of a kelp forest, schools of coloured fish, etc.
3rd (2:07) - The light is fading out, life becomes rare. An ominous calm is felt.
4th (2:40) - Total darkness, clostrophobia and anxiety sets in along with the awareness of the immense surrounding pressure.
5th (3:28) - The benthos is reached. Large populations of albino crab and such strange creatures surround the submersible. A mix of incongruous emotions are felt; resignation, serenity, joy, wonder, clostrophobia, etc.

5e (3:28): Arrivée au benthos, entouré par grande population de crabe albinos et autres créatures étranges. Mélange de sentiments hétéroclites dont la sérénité, joie, résignation, émerveillement, clostrophobie, etc.

Experimental and instrumental prog rock song, relatively jazzy and with a dreamy atmosphere filled with electronic and organic instruments (rhodes organ, fretless bass, electric guitars, drums, synths, psychoacoustic sounds, and a vst orchestra including flute, violins, cello and bassoon).

I've remade this excellent song by composer Koji Kondo, as the sounds of the Nintendo 64 didn't do it justice. It's the music that plays near the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, when Link gets transformed back to a human with the help of the Happy Mask Salesman, after being cursed into a Deku body by the imp.

This is a tribute to Koji Kondo, for teaching me to perceive the magic of music when I was a child.
