My rendition of Nirvana's darkest song, Polly.

This is dedicated to one of my friends! I sent her a recording of this song 13 years ago when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing (it was recorded on a macbook microphone for starters) and after hearing that cover again for the first time in many years it inspired me to re-record it and do it justice.

I played all the instruments, sang all the vocal parts and recorded this in my room with an sm57 and an sm7b. I also did the mix, learning as I go! I'm pleased with the results :)

The first thing I ever wrote in open G, this dates back several years... I just recently got around to recording it.

I didn't really intend for this to be anything; I just hit record and played the rhythm guitar part and then just made up a solo part to go along with it. Anyways, the recording quality is pretty sloppy, but I thought this was too cool to not upload.

everything posted here is entirely a solo effort on my behalf, save for a few jams with old friends. some of it is my earliest endeavors with recording music. others are jams or incomplete riffs. there's also demos and completed songs. most of it is recorded quite poorly, and the performances aren't often great or even good. but these are all a part of me in some way! i like to view this page as a time capsule for my progress as a musician. maybe you'll get a kick out of it as well!
