Coming off the back of his debut release split with Joone on Ghost Ships Records, Butch Sundance drops his first solo EP on newly founded label Acrylic On Canvas. Dave Delgado aka Joone’s London based label Acrylic On Canvas was founded as a platform to bring new musical ideas and talent to the scene, ultimately created as an art manifesto to confront the mainstream. Butch Sundance finds balance between soft and rough sounds, loyal to analogue he finds themes in every track resembling future landscapes which is especially relevant on ‘Tyranny Falling’. ‘Tyranny Falling’ begins proceedings with stabbing electro styled drums fused with acid-soaked oscillations and pulsating synth shoots providing an otherworldly aesthetic before ‘Tank Vs Human’ lays down breaky rhythms that harmonises delightfully with growling modulations, mind-bending sonics and warped elements. ‘Nuclear Game’ then stylishly rounds off the EP with fluttering synths, twisting arrangements and outlandish yet warming leads that provide an absorbing finish.
