Fred Akir is a force in Sweden’s electronic music scene, bringing raw energy and deep emotion to every set. As the co-founder of Håll Käften och Dansa and Very Addictive, she has shaped dance floors across Sweden’s most respected clubs, raves, and festivals, while also curating soundscapes for unique projects like Stockholm’s City Theater production of Ronja Rövardotter.

Driven by an unrelenting passion for music, Fred Akir sees every performance as an opportunity to forge meaningful connections and unleash creative potential and always in her own irregular, uncompromising way. Her eclectic selections and dynamic presence behind the decks have seen her share stages with artists like Dixon, Peggy Gou, Tale of Us, Agents of Time, Above & Beyond, Bicep, La Fleur, Bebetta, Courtesy, Pablo Fierro, Paco Osuna, Audiofly, and Adriatique.

Following hot on the heels of her ‘Westpoint’ wibbly chugger for Nervous comes Nickelle with ‘Neo One’ for Jack Said What. 

Nickelle was already part of the JSW family due to playing assorted label nights in London and on the south coast but now, with this release, she is well and truly on the firm.

Brought up in the picturesque environs of the Lake District in the north-west of England, she started sneaking into club nights such as Vague in Leeds and events at The Arena in Middlesbrough while underage. She arrived in Brighton at 18 with just a bag of records and a change of clothes, and never made it home again. 

Nickelle soon scored a residency at The Honeyclub on the seafront and soon began playing other UK clubs such as Turnmills, The Zap, Ministry Of Sound and The Escape. These choice gigs led to residencies at Fabric and The End/AKA in London (for DTPM and Jaded respectively), and then international gigs in far-flung places such as Bali, Indonesia, Bucharest, Rome and Singapore.

In tandem with the explosion of her DJ career Nickelle began producing her own music, releasing on labels such as Slip N Slide, Art & Craft Recordings, Iberian, Bullet:Dodge and Rebirth, and also remixing the mighty X-Press 2. Now, after a short break, she’s writing the next chapter of her career.

‘Neo One’ is a cracking release. Kicking off like a deep tech builder with intricate percussion, ascending minor chord keys soon set the spirit level to emotive. At the start of the second drop it’s almost like the string section of an orchestra has come in: what sounds like a violin tugs at the heartstrings in an almost filmic way, bringing forth a stirring trip. ‘Neo One’ takes its cue from Slam’s seminal ‘Positive Education’ techno classic as it soars heavenwards to close, taking dancers and listeners on a journey through the imagination. 

Progressive house don Nolan ads a bit more percussive clunk on his overhaul, muting the violin sound a tad but elongating it on the main drop so that it kicks back in with hip-wiggling aplomb. The melody line turns into slithery robo-sonics as it advances to close.

Brisbeats returns with Summerslam, a standout progressive house cut from Rockka. The original blends rolling grooves, driving low-end and uplifting melodic touches, capturing the perfect balance of summer energy and underground depth.

Musik führt zusammen. Darin war sich Enrico aka Kollektiv KlangGut von Anfang
an sicher. Und auch der Austritt seines früheren Teilhabers aus dem Projekt
änderte nichts an dieser Sichtweise. Klar, ein Kollektiv besteht immer aus
mehreren Menschen. Aber was, wenn ein Kollektiv bricht? Dann ist es zwar schwer
zu verstehen, warum man den Namen bei behält. Im Fall von Enrico ist ist das
Kollektiv aus Herz Seele und Mensch zusammen gesetzt. Denn Kollektiv KlangGut
in seiner heutigen Form, ist ein Herzmensch.
Schon seit seiner frühen Jugend besitzt Enrico eine enge Leidenschaft für
elektronische Musik und allem was damit zusammenhängt. Wer Kollektiv Klanggut
nach dem Start des Einmannprojektes auf der Bühne erlebt hat, wird keinen
Unterschied feststellen. Er lebt und liebt Musik für zwei. Wenn es darum geht die
Tanzfächen der Welt zu bespielen, schöpft er aus seinem vollen Potential. Und das
gibt reichlich her.
Verschiedene Style von Housemusic mit eben einer riesigen Portion Herz und
Emotion, verbindet dann auch das Publikum mit Enrico, und so ist das gesammte
Werk als Kollektiv zu sehen. Nach den ersten Jahren Erfahrung in Clubbing und
und einigen erfolgreichen Veranstaltungen ab 2005 stieg der Berliner 2012 mit
bei Karera ein. Seine erste Vö Little Bird auf Katermucke erreichte sofort die
Herzen der Fans. Die darauf folgende Platte Moments auf Karera, Chartete Digital.
Neben diverser nationaler und internationaler Auftritte , ist Kollektiv KlangGut ein
fester Bestandteil der URST Agency Gang, und vermittelt auch bis heute eines.
Herz hat man, oder eben nicht.
