Gabber Noir Archive 0001 - Death Qualia

The Unplayed Cascade was recorded on September 1st at Flashtower 30 hours proceeding the TnC truck guerrilla out front of the DB factory [52.486130, 13.504843]. We surfaced the session recently and edited the full three hour recording in to a one hour collage. The Unplayed Cascade comprises of original compositions, field recordings, layers, and our signature drum engine with the exception of a collaborative effort with Darien Brito starting around minute 49. Please enjoy.

DEFCE is the combined efforts of American artists, Death Qualia (@de-qualia) and SHVLFCE (@shvlfce). Long time friends whose creative synergy aligns as Death Qualia's lush and reserved finesse tames SHVLFCE's primordial aggression, forming a delicate beast.

"After perusing the silt underground of northern europe, Berlin’s Jon Baruc has returned for their first solo release in three years as Death Qualia. The Fanged Contradiction EP is a side plot to our rising comprehension of the anti-hero's journey; their lore taking place in a timeless village threatened and paralysed by an all-terrain beast.
Musically, their record pays homage to Baruc and Ohm Resistance's shared origins of New York as a sort of year 3030 take on urban east coast space-gangster beats. The brimming 6-track vinyl ranges from vivid scenic ambient to Death Qualia's personal brand of ultra-techno."

We choose "On Contradiction" track. Futuristic cinematic landscape with proper sound design, paralysed and destroyed village by a wholy beast, passing through the ruins, searching for his next target. Ambient veil into the darkness, desperate and feared melodies as bombs explode around.
