#PlasticFreeParty is a collection of conscientious, green-hearted tunes from some of our favourite artists, all brought together to highlight the incredible work being done by our friends at Bye Bye Plastic, the disruptive nonprofit working to eliminate single-use plastics in the music industry and restore Earth balance. The album will be officially launched at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event with a party organised in collaboration with Levantine House in the luxurious W Amsterdam on release day, Thursday 20th October. A world-first, ground-breaking non-vinyl physical version of the album is also in the works.

Curated by Parisian DJ duo Chambord and released on BLOND:ISH’s ABRACADABRA label, #PlasticFreeParty brings together 14 new tracks from artists like BLOND:ISH, Shiba San, Vander & Deer Jade, Urmet K, Zigan Aldi and Chambord themselves. 100% of the album’s profits will be forwarded to the Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, enabling them to increase their visibility and message.

Chambord explained how the compilation came to fruition; “In 2020, we worked with Bye Bye Plastic for our first live performance in France. During this time, we gathered a group of friends and associates to create fundraising for this cause and have been working together ever since. We met with Camille from the BBP foundation, and together with Blond:ish we decided to create a music compilation to raise funds. Together we can hopefully achieve our goals and make a difference.”

‘#PlasticFreeParty’ is released on ABRACADABRA from 20th October 2022.

About the release
Drunken footsteps lead across the wet pavement of the big city towards a nondescript steel door in some nondescript brick wall. Its rhythmic rattle is a Good Omen. Behind it, we encounter alien pleasures, a steadily morphing sequence of sensory input unfolding amidst the coloured lights between the speaker membranes and the surface of our consciousness. Bebetta and Los Cabra send us on a parabolic flight in the depth of their soundscape, bath us in an intense emotional flow with their hard and compelling groove, employ their tripped-out psychoacoustic tricks to defragment our minds and to subsequently rebuild them into something beautiful and new.

apanorama is a German electronic music duo consisting of Nora Lösel and Michael Eppelein. The two musicians bonded over their shared passion for music and when they started to write songs together they were drawn towards electronic music.

Nora and Michael’s music is characterised by atmospheric soundscapes, enchanting vocals and intricate rhythms. Their sound is loop oriented, kind of like a polyphonic mantra developed during a song. Together with the mesmerising visuals it is a captivating live experience where you are immediately drawn to them. During their shows they lead their listeners into a fragile state between trance and dance.

apanorama have played festivals and venues all over Europe and are ready to travel the world with their music in the coming years. They continue to experiment with new sounds and techniques, pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
