After 11 years as a DJ Fredrika left Stockholm nightlife in May 2019 to embrace unexplored roots and live on a remote Island. Productions are there generated from personal explorations put into pieces of sound. Similar to her productions, DJ-sets are described as deep, atmospheric, meditative, and energetic journeys. Creation in movement, inspired by her lifestyle, mind, and soul - Fragments of her identity.

"Creating this episode was a step into something new but familiar. This year has been about transition for me, in different ways. So with recreation in focus, I've been reflecting on the past plenty. Letting old lessons take me into the future. Letting old patterns not serving me dissolve, and opening up my heart for new ways to express and create. Thank you @fj-der for the beautiful intro."

Samuel, born in and based in Amsterdam  has been involved in the techno scene for several years. The Dutch DJ joined Monument first as a writer in 2017, which he was eager to do due to his increased passion for techno and ambient music over the years. Not much later he also picked up the mantle of MNMT’s head of podcast. Sam performed his very first DJ gig In June of 2019 at MNMT Festival, with a 2-hour melancholic ambient mix as the opening of the final day of the festival, to which he was overwhelmed with all the positive feedback. This motivated him to focus more and more on his development as a DJ. What followed were gigs in various countries in Asia, Europe and also United States throughout 2019 and early 2020.

암스테르담에서 태어나고 기반을 둔 Samuel 은 몇 년 동안 테크노계에 관여해 왔다. 이 네덜란드 DJ 는 테크노와 엠비언트 음악에 대한 열정이 높아지면서 2017년 작가로서 먼저 MNMT 에 합류했다. 얼마 후 그는 MNMT 의 팟캐스트를 이끌게 되었다. Samuel 은 2019년 6월 MNMT 페스티벌에서 2시간 동안 멜랑콜릭한 믹스로 첫 DJ 공연을 펼쳤으며, 이 축제에서 그는 수많은 긍정적인 반응을 받았다. 이것은 그가 DJ 로서 그의 발전에 점점 더 집중하도록 자극했다. 그 뒤로, 그는 2019년과 2020년 초에 걸쳐 아시아, 유럽, 그리고 미국의 다양한 국가에서 플레이했다.

From a distance, far away in a remote place, our brain is perceiving a well-done prearranged set of harmonious proportions adding accurate structures and harmonies to the sound. Those pleasant and coherent modular scales are perfectly complemented by a well-used long and constant s sound known as tape hiss. Gritty noises, subtle percussions and low end frequencies exposed within the correct space-time, make the sound distance closer and closer.
