"Heart Matters" was one of the first few tracks written for the upcoming  full-length album "Sourcery", which will be released on The Chambers Project on Feb. 22, 2022. 

"Sourcery" is the third full length album by A Path Untold, aka producer/composer Daniel Merrill, who has been creating and releasing under the moniker since 2015. It is the most ambitious, intricate and intentional record he’s created so far. In relation to past works, it is ever more evocative and far-reaching in it’s scope, resulting in a progression of songs designed to transform the dancefloor into sacred space and back again, while providing an evolving, enthralling ride that facilitates as much of an inner journey as listeners want to take.

The album draws on genre elements from future garage, deep/slow house, ambient downtempo, medicine music and a variety of multicultural flavors. These elements, as a sonic lexicon, serve to build and explore a deeply moody, symphonic, emotional world, filled with a sense of mysterious enchantment, spirits and the eternal relationship of opposites. Featuring iconic artwork created by painter Miles Toland, the album centers around themes of infinity, unity, duality, boundless consciousness exploration and creative ritual.

This release is the debut musical offering on The Chambers Project which until now has consisted of internationally celebrated psychedelic visual artists such as Ralph Steadman, Mars-1 and many more.

My remix of multi-media artist/producer Polygon Rainbow's 'Approaching Eternity', for Harmonious Discord. 

Harmonious Discord presents the continued celebration of the music of Oregon multi-modal artist Polygon Rainbow with this exquisite revisit to his “Approaching Eternity EP” released earlier this year. The remix consortium delivers a cadre of melodic mysteries, stretching the original contents to new stratospheres. Joining the release are artists KiloWatts, Erothyme, A Path Untold, Encounters, RFRKT, and A Concept Being; a collection of artists who explore the well of infectious inspiration.

A Path Untold washes the title track into a shaded melodic journey with the collision of massive walls of sound playfully dancing with plucked synthetics. Accented with staggered drums, precise bass accents, and penetrating sub-bass. Infinite levels of deepness ascend with expert precision in our opening selection. KiloWatts saddles the stars with his Interstellar Transmission Mix, gently riding comets of cacophony. A tide pool of swirling melodies ultimately produces a dub groove that attracts and synchronizes the melodies like delicate strands of time. I had the pleasure of providing this sonic journey for the first ever PACT event (Psychedelic Arts and Culture Trust) at The Chambers Project for this meaningful cause:

PACT hosted a benefit for the Wirikuta Preservation Project, an organization of the Wixáritari tribe of North Western Mexico, California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.

Among all ancient cultures there have been rich and complex rituals to balance between the need to survive and the reverence of the natural world that sustains us. Most of these cultures have been lost over time. One notable exception is the Wixarika people of Mexico. They are the last remaining pre-colonial culture that maintains a ritual use of the Peyote cactus. Their pieces of art work, called “nierikas” are created from visions that come to them during their ceremonies and are actually petitions to their deities. 

The traditional ways of the Wixarika are in danger as commericial interests slowly encroach on and destroy their sacred ancestral lands. Now more than ever, we need to preserve these ancient methods of restoring balance and harmony with nature.

Selling their cactus inspired artwork in order to save the land where this endangered cactus grows is an example of the cactus saving itself. 

Through The Chambers Project & PACT at this event, we were able to spread awareness and support for this potent cause.

A Path Untold @ PACT & Wirakuta Preservation Project

Excited to announce my new epic 9 minute track called “Colors Of Love” is out now, available as part of a 17 track tribute album called Boundless: A Tribute To Sonic Junkie. This project is in loving memory and honor of my dear friend, and sisters life partner, the late Sonic Junkie.

I put my heart and soul into spearheading this album project over the last few months. We were able to bring together the sounds and visions of some of Vano’s favorite artists, collaborators, and dear friends from the music community into an epic musical journey, including Rob Clouth, Kilowatts, Pathwey, Lunecell, Aligning Minds, Seeded Vision, K-Rai, and many more.

This compilation will be a digital Bandcamp-only release with the possibility of physical copies depending on demand. In addition to the lossless music files, there is also an add-on printable PDF art package featuring visual art, writing/poetry, and other non-musical contributions from Vano’s loving creative community of friends and collaborators.

All proceeds and donations generated by this album will go directly toward funding the commemorative Sonic Junkie Studio, located in Brooklyn, NY. This physical space will house Vano’s music studio as he left it, making it available to the community and his collaborators, keeping his creative spirit alive and well.

We feel this is art in motion and music at its finest: applied to the deeply meaningful purpose of community catharsis, holding the power to help process, translate, communicate and heal a collective wound.

The newest release from A Path Untold, ‘Wander to Serve’, is a full-length offering of 9 tracks that envelops the listener in a sonic world carefully constructed through a powerful combination of uniquely varied genre elements. 

The album draws upon a personal account of transformation and transmutation, each track a form of therapy and self-expression shaped around the need to transmute pain and struggle into beauty and triumph. Over the course of Daniel’s 17-year journey as a music producer, his relentless exploration through the genre spectrum has allowed him to retain an objectivity necessary for the fusion of eclectic stylistic influences. His alchemical style has evolved over the years through observing, collecting and fusing together a variety of inspirations, bringing together elements from future garage, slow house, downtempo/ambient, world music and idm. 

Additionally, through his experiences with Peruvian medicine work and group-based healing ceremonies, a loving fascination with that culture has also weaved its way into his compositions. With the utmost honor and respect paid to these long-standing traditions and sounds, he feels that it is in this fusion of mediums there lies an incredible opportunity to unify cultural realms. Bringing qualities of sacred healing experiences to the dancefloor, and utilizing the limitless palette of modern electronic music production to create transcendent healing experiences, the lines are blurred between worlds, utilizing music and creative expression to explore the balance between dualistic elements like illumination/darkness, past/future, tradition/innovation, euphoria/melancholy, natural/artificial, individual/collective, all as an expression of unity and holistic oneness. 


‘Wander to Serve’ is a tribute to the notion that we are here collectively to be of service to one another - to help liberate each other, awaken, and create. That “To fully be of service, you must allow your heart to truly wander” through the infinite spectrum of experience in all of its dualistic nature, including facing fears, sorrows and challenges along the path of keeping your heart fully open in order to give and receive, in cyclical oscillation. This process manifests itself as a transmutation of life events, the concept of turning poison into medicine, darkness into light.

Focused on melody, texture, off kilter grooves and emotional nuance, it fluidly explored the genre spectrum, weaving through various styles and structures of future garage, deep house, ambient, idm and world music. Conceptually it explored themes of self discovery, light within darkness, numinous experience, secrets, and the process of inward/outward illumination. The album was received to great underground acclaim and inspired listeners and producers from across the globe with its distinct vision. 

Aquatic Collective is now proud to present A Path Untold - The Secret Subtle Light Remixes, a collection of reinterpretations by a variety of uniquely talented producers who represent a multitude of styles and approaches. Ranging from dance-able neuro-garage, deep mystical dubstep, soulful drum n’ bass rollers and introspective ambient, this release explores an aesthetic that stays in line with the original ethos. With artists Mystic State, Dillard, Aphasia, Oudjat., Shamanic Technology, Hajimari, & High Dude - the diversity of styles and genres remains intact. 

The entirety of sales from the album will go towards purchasing a new boat for the [Payaguaje] lineage of the Secoya tribe in Ecuador, helping to lead efforts in reuniting families with their ancestral lands Lagarto Cocha]. This region is an area of flooded forest, shoreless lakes and vast sunsets and is the ancestral home of the indigenous peoples of the Secoya tribe. 

"Today there are 600 Secoya in Ecuador, and 900 in Peru. Over the last 50 years ongoing external pressures have resulted in the Ecuadorian Secoya being reduced to living in a small area of land on the Aguarico River, a day’s travel upriver from Lagarto Cocha. Their communities and farmlands are surrounded by palm-oil plantations, oil and gas operations, and communities of colonists and other indigenous people who have recently moved into the area.” 

"Despite the passing of time and the distance from their current communities, the Secoya still consider the area their spiritual and ancestral heartland. They continue to visit Lagarto Cocha annually, as a way of reaffirming their identity and connection with their ancestors, and to collect various resources. The unique ecosystem of Lagarto Cocha means that there are many plants and animals found there that the Secoya can not find on the River Aguarico. The expanding agricultural and oil operations have also degraded and contaminated the land and waters around the Secoya villages reducing the quantity and quality of available resources."
