Debuting as part of their live set in 2022, first single ‘Tiers’ is already well sought after by clubbers and DJs worldwide. The fresh and future-facing 'Tiers' gets you on your toes as slick bass and sleek drum programming race on a warm wave of soulful techno.

Techno is in the genetic pulse of the Octave One brothers. Hailing from Detroit, Lenny and Lawrence Burden have been vanguards of the genre since its early innovation and continue to set the standard for dance floors. Their electrifying live performances showcase to audiences just what techno is made of: the synthesis of man and machine. The duo’s astounding array of analog gear, a mighty rig they call “The Mothership,” acts as a vessel of funk grooves, house riffs, and irresistible rhythms as they take dancers on a trip through musical literacy. With each live set, the formidable force accomplishes a feat few can conceive of in the studio, and even fewer are able to recreate live. This is why Octave One is techno’s unrivalled live act.

@montyluke's ‘Nightdubbing (Part 2)’ lands on Rekids this February.

Kicking oﬀ Rekids’ January, Monty Luke’s ‘Nightdubbing (Part 1)’ won the support of Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Fred P and many more. Radio Slave’s esteemed label now readies itself for part two, starting with ‘Supernova’, a slow-burning groover shot through with whirly synths and deep space textures, broken up by retro vocal samples. ‘Starstorms’ continues to explore the deepest reaches of the unknown, picking up pace via shaker rhythms, driving bass, and raw foot-on-the-pedal pads.

Up next is Monty Luke’s ‘New World / Old Future’, in which scratch-like drums, dubbed-out hits and a rolling rhythm are all in perfect order before the psychedelic ‘Avantgarde Dancehall’ introduces wonky liquid sonics and intricate melodies over a steady beat. Closing this eclectic oﬀering, ‘Travelling ‘Round The Sun’ features drums rooted in dub alongside spoken word poetry, rounding oﬀ a release that is storytelling at its very best.

Monty Luke spent ten formative years in Detroit, where the city's unique musical spirit inﬂuenced him immensely. He has since distilled this experience into the music he has put out on labels like Rekids, Planet-E, Hypercolour, and his own Black Catalogue. His raw, dub-infused sound comes with plenty of futuristic designs, with this second part of ‘Nightdubbing’ continuing to push the boundaries of his music.

💥Gamma brain waves are a type of brain wave that has a frequency range of 30-100 Hz. They are the highest frequency and most rapid brain waves, typically associated with cognitive processes like attention, working memory, problem-solving, and consciousness. Gamma waves play a crucial role in information processing and integration, neuronal synchronization, and heightened mental states like focus and awareness. Research explores their potential links to improved cognitive performance, reduced symptoms of neurological conditions, and enhanced mental clarity.

I’m inspired by the research on Gamma brain waves and their potential benefits for focus and cognitive performance. This EP (inspired by FOCUS) is perfect timing for the new year when people are setting goals and looking for ways to stay motivated.

By incorporating Gamma brain waves into my music, I hope to create a unique and potentially beneficial listening experience for my audience. I’m fascinated by the power of sound and its impact on our minds and bodies.

A single figure stands petrified in the portal before you, its stony form dwarfing the nearby landscape of similar mineral makeup that seems to have birthed it into this world. Indeed, all that you see amidst this plane is barren stone and ashen sky, as though all other life had been consumed by the gigantic humanoid sculpture that dominates this vision. It would be easy to describe the land before you as lifeless, and yet from the cracked hide of the behemoth glows a faint reddish hue reminiscent of a rising dawn. There is an energy that suffuses the giant, a spark of divinity granted by an unknown hand. Wordlessly through the portal, it calls out to you, and thus by divinity you find yourself drawn between the planes once again. HIBOO makes his VISION SERPENT debut with THE GOLEM IS COMING, a single that draws on its namesake's stature with a series of unrelenting basslines that meld with and are infused by an animating overdriven arpeggio. As the vocal sample within instructs an introspective course, THE GOLEM IS COMING combines these elements to entrance listeners in awe of its gargantuan presence.

Rino Cerrone's legendary Rilis series returns this summer with a blistering package which features Danilo Vigorito, Uto Karem and Cerrone himself.

Cerrone is arguably the most influential character in Italy's techno scene having carefully nurtured countless artists while juggling labels, a prolific production diary and countless dj gigs. His output always commands respect and this release is no different.

Kicking of with Cerrone's 2010 re-edit of 'Rilis 05A1', a percussive beast of a cut which combines rolling funk bass and classic stabs, 'Rilis Remix Vol 6' is a sure bet for house and techno djs alike.

Add Dubfire, Hawtin and Villalobos favorite Uto Karem and the excitement only builds. Here, the hugely talented producer delivers a low slung, heavy, trippy and heads-down version of Cerrone's 'Fracture' which stands out as some of his finest work yet.

Finally, Neapolitan veteran Danilo Vigorito steps up to the plate and delivers a deep and devasting remix of 'Burntit'. Comprising some fantastic production tweaks and edits alongside rhythmic percussion and the all important rolling bottom end, this is Vigorito at his best.

This is yet another worthy addition to the 'Rilis' concept - essential stuff
