today we bring you our first ever 3-track EP, from another new up-and-coming artist named Erder, otherwise known as Erdertainment.

Erder is a 15 year old producer from Germany, and we are very excited to welcome him to our family at Night Owl Collective. he likes to experiment with many different styles, which we love, and his focus is mostly on jazz-influenced music, so he will fit right in.

when we had our submissions open, Erder was one of the first people to send me a submission that i really fell in love with, which was his song "Underneath" (track 3 on the EP). after listening to it a couple times, I checked out some more of his music and really started to dig deeper into his style. 

we decided to put a little EP together, and now we are so excited to share it with you! this EP is truly full of good vibes. the title track, "Lookalike", is a deep house track with a melody you can play over and over again. the second track, "Senpai", is a mixture of chill trap and future bass, with hard hitting 808s and lush synth work. and the final track, "Underneath", is a very unique piece of music, with a bossa nova type of sound, mixed with the vibes you would get while playing a video game like Animal Crossing. all in all, these three tracks are very different, but still compliment each other very well, and we will certainly have this EP on repeat for a long time <3

I'm stoked on this cover, because it's me playing a live show, when they literally passed me the aux :')

So! I'm thinking I may release my next tape sometime in January. And I'm going to title it "Home". I've been travelling a lot from work, and I've seen a lot more of the world. And after current events in the US, it really had me thinking about where, and what home is? 

The new album is very vibe-y and super reflective. I am like 10000% certain it's my best beat tape yet, and I am so excited to get it out to y'all.

So yeah! This is another single from the new album. And I may even get a physical release for it? :)

Home is the question I’ve been asking myself lately. In the idea of, what makes you belong in a “Home”, and when do you know when you’ve found “Home”? This album is a reflection of my current Home, both the positive and the negative.

Finding Home

A-P Connection is an autoproduced French Funk music duo founded in 2012 in Reims. Growing up, Antoine Perez and Pierre Bonnet were mostly influenced by the funk and disco music of the 70's and 80's. It was obvious that playing music would become part of their lives. At the early beginning they played only guitar and bass, yet this quickly evolved into a wider variety of instruments allowing them to create their own compositions. In early 2014 the first album Stellar Groove was launched, using mainly talk box vocals. Soon collaboration with different singers was started up, which resulted into a couple of new songs being issued on the main digital platforms.  This experience inspired them to work on their first big project: bringing out an LP featuring a variety of talented artists both for vocals as well as additional instrumental sections such as strings, horns. Their unique blended sound was born. In 2019 the second album " Dawn Of The Future " was a fact. Soon followed by their third album " Beyond " in 2020. The fourth album is even more elaborated with compositions compiled on a double album this time, called " Wide Vision". Released on June 2021. A-P Connection has more projects in mind, driven by the empowering reactions of their fans and listeners across the globe.
