Following on from our most recent all vinyl 90’s jungle set from the OG @groove_chronicles, we’ve got another strictly vinyl showcase from the wax junkie that is @soundcondition 💥

Born and raised in Essex, and currently based out of Bristol, Sound Condition has been digging for records and djing only vinyl for the last 12 years. With an extensive multi-genre record collection, he’s put together a mix of mostly 90s steppas, with a few surprises along the way. 

Some of these presses are HARD to find and go back over 25 years… some lovely snap, crackle n pops going on with this one, rice crispies n that, come on 🥣 

SC has been holding down a monthly residency on @balamii for the last 4 years and you can expect to hear some of his productions on 2023. 

He’s also relocating to Asia for 6 months this year too. Asia based promoters who want one of the most die hard music heads we’ve come across, you know what to do.

Introducing Time Is Now’s newest recruit, a link up that felt inevitable. A Bristol native, Borai has had a firm foot in the city’s bass scene since its inception, his steadfast dedication to rave culture helping to shape what it is today. When he’s not curating his own Higher Level label, helping steer the Club Glow collective, or cutting dubplates for Dubstudio, he’s exercising his passion for hardware, crafting vital DJ tools which span an impressive crosssection of the hardcore continuum. Naturally EP is a culmination of these endeavours, as well as his far-spanning influences.

We’re transported out of Bristol and into late 80’s Chicago - the golden era of garage house - via soulful vocals, nebulous melodies and saxophone whispers. It wouldn’t be a Borai release, though, without some UK flavours. Rich atmospheric jungle track ‘Phosphenes’ brings things to a euphoric close, and reminds us of the producer’s ambidexterity.

Founder of label - Taipan Trax UK - Phasmid, joins us for our latest ApeCast to cleanse our airwaves with electro, trance and a few bits in between. 

Phasmid has been bubbling in the UK underground music scene for a few years now, dipping into different genres and  aligning with up-and-coming producers. With the likes of Frazer Ray, Papa Nugs and other bright talents from the underground scene. The rapidly rising producer has cemented himself in the scene, playing all across the UK. He has also featured on high profile radio shows such as Rinse FM France, NTS Radio and has an upcoming Boiler Room in Bristol at the end of April.  Phasmid is also the brainchild and co-founder behind BabyStep Magazine.
