Today marks the launch of our APECAST Series. With the return of clubbing just around the corner, we can almost feel the rumble of the bass-bins & sweat dripping from the walls. Until that day, we will be providing mixes that represent all corners of dance music, creating a community of DJs both globally and localy. 

First up we invite Galway’s finest Shampain aka Cóilí Collins who provides us a dose of dance-floor treatment. Shampain boasts a diverse output and is by no means genre bound, operating flawlessly between the realms of techno, breakbeat, grime & beyond. Cóilí's enthusiasm for all styles of dance music mirrors our passion at Ape-X. 

Shampain has rapidly become a force to be reckoned with, holding down a monthly residency with Rinse FM France, accompanied by appearances on Lobster Theremin and BBC Radio 1. Over recent years the Irish prodigy has worked closely alongside Mall Grab, Miley Serious & Special Request. Whilst 2021 saw Cóilí release a 31 track compilation on his multi-media platform 'VSN' which included DJ Haus, Nightwave, Tommy Holohan and Mutant Joe. This month Shampain announced his new label imprint 'G-Town Records', alongside good-friend Kettama. We expect to see more from this rising talent over the next year.  Lock in for an hour of selections from the man himself.

After a year spent writing as much music as possible, but (due to a mixture of perfectionism and label issues) a fairly low level of releases, I've finally got a consistent flow of music coming out over the next few months on a variety of labels. Knowing this, it felt like the right time to make a mix featuring all the music that I've been working on for the past 2 years. A lot of it is planned to come out this year, but there are some unsigned bits and some tracks that I have no plans to ever release in there too (this mix might be the only time they make it past the confines of my laptop).
