A cynic. A cretin.
If we mix the word cynical, with the word cretin, we get a critic.
One of the most intelligent human beings that one can not know. He has masks to mock the real, but he always wears the same shirt to be honest with his sharp and deep thought.
Believe in Pancho? It is not recommended, because he is always right. He has read so much and so well that it is not known if what he says he is copying from some great philosopher, or if he is inventing it. He has read from the greats as newcomers. Dominates topics ranging from the Antifragility proposed by Nicholas Taleb Nassim, to the absurdity of the existence that we find in Emil Ciorán or Albert Camus, through a strong passion towards pure mathematics and the discovery of the outer universe he can speak of mucus, feces, and flowers at will. Jave has managed to incorporate, like few others, philosophy into his own life, thus becoming a mixture between Diogenes of Sinope and Isaac Asimov.
From his work as an editor, several have commented that he is "the best editor (little) known of our days" and others that "his (editorial) vision is atrocious and therefore, perfect". One of its strengths is to believe in beginning authors, to grow them and to throw them into the abysses of editorial emptiness. Jave is not a promoter of artists according to the standards of the world, instead, he is a true guide that leads you to face your worst fears, so that you never stop producing.
He seems to insist on writing a poetry that does not become transgressive, because it exceeds the common understanding and it would be a mistake to think that, because incomprehensible, it is worth to stay in the shade. Frank's poetry is not for everyone, it's more, it's not for anyone.
If we talk about photography, nobody knows how to portray with as much naturalness and spontaneity as Pancho. Each of his Fotographemas are small crystals of stories contained in a single image. They are the sample that he does not produce beauty, but he finds it without looking for it and distils it.
His frustrated life as a dancer moves him without rhythm between nonexistent bars, we could say that he dances at his own pace.
It is so random that it enriches the weak and disconcerts the big. No exchange with him is loss, instead, a single minute of his talk can lead you to knowledge that you could not know on your own.
A wise man without public. A lonely man out of conviction, or out of fear. He could be a character of Herman Hesse, Henry Thoreau, Roberto Bolaño or Camus himself. Someone who has seriously questioned killing another man, only to know what he feels or what causes him. Someone who has successfully committed suicide three times, but the fifth will be the definitive one (for the moment he executes the fourth suicide). You have to be afraid of him, but do not run away. It is more dangerous to keep him away than to be his friend.
The best of the worst influences. The project that he is currently executing, of riding a bicycle without a determined direction to travel approximately 25,000 km in a year (more or less), wants to be proof that he is capable of putting his skin in the game for what he thinks it is worth putting the skin.
In general, Jave is an artist's attempt and therefore, the best.
