The one and only Bandicoot is back so I learned his theme tune. It's a bit sloppy but I was so happy and excited I just went for it.

The super catchy bassline from Crash Bandicoot Warped, the 3rd game in the Playstation 1 trilogy. So I did the theme for the first, NOW THE 3RD... I skipped the 2nd because I like this better and put more effort into this than the last recording!

Usually it's a bit difficult especially these days considering how out of practice I am for vocals, to tackle a lot of songs but thankfully I managed the Beyblade intro! It's some rather standard and tame bass playing too especially from me but hey, it's a simple, punkish song I can't always go hogwild on bass with the shred fills I normally do!

An idea for a riff for the band I came up with.

Riff Idea

I uploaded a couple versions of my interpretation of this song a few month ago but never the final version which I recorded on my Rickenbacker 4003.

My bass track not entirely audible compared to the other instruments but I wanted it to feel as if it was mixed into the music rather than overpowering it.

There's slightly more improvisation here.

So after a day of listening to Black Metal I noticed some of their slower songs have this sound that's invoking a feeling of Doom. Some of these riffs are like they're directly influenced by Tony Iommi and Black Sabbath. 
So yeah I clicked with that and decided to tweak an idea for a riff I've had for a while but I don't have my cable to record here. I put my headset to my amp and got this really mid/high range sound but the bass is still there obviously. Adds to the atmosphere I think. 

So. I'm using this for Rekkendyke as its good for that stuff.

Dark Doom-esque Bass Riff

I started playing Bass Guitar about 5 years ago, I don't really consider myself good at any particular style but I've really enjoyed just doing my own thing. I've only studied very basic theory and the rest is just trial error.
I've did music at college and I've played in bands. I've busked a fair a bit before and I love playing. 

I also took up writing lyrics and vocals since I was in my last band Culloden and I tend to base my bass parts around the lyrics and see what else can be done for guitar. 
Right now I have a recording project in the planning stages with a couple old friends of mine from my days in Culloden and I aim to just carry on just doing whatever the hell it is I do.
