Welcome to the release number 28 of Cicuta Netlabel. Andalusia is a land full of sun, full of light. We all have in mind the typical white villages on the Mediterranean coast. Our trip begins in Madrid, heading to Andalusia, but the end of the road is totally different. It seems incredible that so bright land gives us so dark music, it's exciting...

In this release we present a new value, the Madrid artist based Goldwine. We can’t give us many of his previous works, as this is one of his first published works, but has a style that will quickly engage with the public.

As for the remixers, we have a good friend back, from Cordoba, David Reina, artist with whom we have had the pleasure of working in many releases, in and out of Cicuta. In recent months he has taken an important qualitative leap, what puts him in the squad who are strong knocking on the doors of major labels.

On the other hand, we have the pleasure of welcoming Cicuta an artist that we had time on the trail, from Malaga, Aphonico. His style is clean, clear, direct and perfect for the dance floor. We expected a lot from him and his work has not been disappointed. Detroit’s Keith Worthy returns to his Aesthetic Audio imprint with a split EP featuring Hieroglyphic Being and Steven Tang, and that's really exciting news so we decided to let you guys have a listen to Hieroglyphic Being's typically head-fuckingly great remix.

It's a fizzy, fuzzy, confusingly cloudy banger that sounds like everything you've ever known collapsing in on itself.

ING: The 4th release from Nodrize Records arrives in extended format, a 14 track techno compilation following the labels guidelines. The compilation offers a sneak preview of forthcoming releases, a sample of the future evolution of Nodrize. There are 14 producers involved on the album, all of them characterized by their versatility and an interpretation of techno that will alter your perception.

The compilation contains tracks laid down over a very deep and intense sound with non-obvious rhythm structures taking the listeners attention hostage taking you to places less traveled within techno. The syncopated beats and the IDM layers come from the hand of H.Paul, Hyo, Reprogrammer & Swarm intelligence, providing the risk and the nerve needed to produce such uncomfortable & hypnotic techno.

The speed of the music is on the point of being violent with a provocation from Relapso, as with Bone Skippers & Drop-E, they don't need to keep increasing the BPMs in order to deliver tracks equally hard and demanding. The more intellectual the techno and exposed the listeners will be to the interpretation of artists such as Speaks Silence, Cement0 & Euskalraver, who share the ability to dissolve the obvious in techno, and deliver accurate moments of sonic isolationism.

The labels chief, Aphonico, also contributes with a track of geometrical techno wrapped in layers that multiply the effective magnetic melodies of a classic cut, same as David Reina, though his track has a more intimate and evolving character. Also, Sarf & Korben Nice, protected by the depth of their sound, deliver 2 tracks of a similar nature but with different connotations. They both go for the immediacy of the next kick, always projecting forward, and adding components along the way that provide the magic to the final result, resulting in Sarfs darker and introspective track, and in Korben Nices light and expansive track. 14 tracks.

Marco Bläsi & Luigi Urban, better known as SHDW & Obscure Shape, founded From Another Mind in April of 2014, a party which brought their favorite artists to their hometown Stuttgart. Of course the natural progression from promoting a successful clubnight is founding an imprint that carries the night´s ideals on to the decks of likeminded DJs, and so the first From Another Mind record was released in 2015, a stellar debut for both the label and its producers. All three EPs so far gained wide acclaim throughout the Techno community, with the tracks recieving support from scene stalwarts, bloggers and critics alike. This year the pair will release the fourth EP on From Another Mind, along with a remix package. SHDW & Obscure Shape will also be on remix duty: Dynamic Reflection and Rekids comissioned reinterpretations for Abstract Division and Radio Slave, respectively.

APHONICO is just another name of the percussionist Arthur Drummer, it's the name he uses to show his electronic music production alter-ego.
His cornerstone it's Techno, and from there, he elegantly drives his creations to explore with mastery different territories to create his own speech very far away from the typical trends. We find reverential treatments of synths from first Detroit Techno years, Dub influence specially from the labels like Basic Channel / Chain Reaction, the relevance of minimalism of the old Plastikman, the industrial landscapes from Birmingham, the groove coming from the Napolitan rhythms, and the neatness of contemporary products like Coefficient or Asagaoaudio.
All this and much more it's hidden under the sound imaginary of APHONICO, who, through his live sets, knows how to adapt his vision to the atmosphere of the different venues, and to the needs of the public without having to give in to ridiculous concessions, and always offering tracks created and produced by himself.
This allowed him to participate in a big variety of events, sharing decks with first line artists like Surgeon, James Ruskin or Ben Sims amongst others. This "top notch" artists gave him the ability and experience needed to convert APHONICO in a safe bet for all kind of events.
His polyvalence and knowledge of the environment together with his experience and good musical preferences it's something that never go unnoticed, having published references in different labels like: Nukapa Rec, Contrart-R, Redpoint Alert Rec, Nasty Temper Records, Induxtriall Records ,KIDNAPPING Netlabel, Digital Garden Records.
Positive feedback made him to be very motivated to continue increasing his perspective of what Techno must be, understanding it like the amalgam of both dancing/not dancing electronic music which has implanted on it's gens the inheritance of Detroit Techno, so sometimes you will be able to listen him very near to the IDM and in other times you will listen sounds remembering to Joey Beltram, but in any case it will have the personality of APHONICO; obtaining a highly recognizable sound it's just thanks to talent, studio work hours and live performance hours working on different venues.



APHONICO es el alias detrás del percusionista Arthur Drummer, que bajo este alter-ego nos presenta su faceta como productor de música electrónica.

Su piedra angular es el techno, y desde ahí sabe derivar con elegancia y bien hacer hacia distintos territorios que sabe explorar con maestría para crear un discurso propio ajeno a las modas y que lleva implícito toda la historia del techno en él, de forma que encontramos tratamientos reverenciales de los sintes de los primeros años en Detroit, la influencia del dub y en particular de sellos como Basic Channel / Chain Reaction, la impronta del minimalismo del primer Plastikman, los paisajes industriales de Birmingham, el groove de los ritmos napolitanos y la pulcritud de productores contemporáneos como Coefficient o Asagaoaudio.
