It's a real pleasure to welcome Latraf on our airwaves, who is particularly invested and who honors our 10th podcast! To know him, his passion for music is growing every year. It is with pleasure and pride that we welcome him on our channel for a groovy, electro and world set straight out of his personal baggage.

A set that will undoubtedly give rhythm to your day.
Latraf is a fan of DJ booths, like the one at La Karambole, Toloache, or Pop'In, all intimate places in Paris for sessions rather Housy, Afro, Deep or Tech House.
The successive lock-downs pushed him to explore more micro, minimal, break and acid ambiences for a Berlin radio, Keith F'eM Radio.
Latraf was inspired by the label Jugaar Records that he co-manages since this year, to go and rub up against new vibes for him to mix, and he had a lot of fun!

Very clearly, the groovy percussions do not leave his sets.

Intriguing electronic duo Pola Women land on Rework’s Exlove label with a fantastic new six track EP.
This duo is made up of Desiree Lune alongside Michel Kuebler, a pair who are split between Berlin and Stuttgart and are inspired by the aesthetics of 80s disco and cinema. Desiree is a singer and writer working on various different projects while studying art at the Kunstakademie Stuttgart. She is used to performing on stage and links here with Michel Kuebler, who is part of electronic bands Rework and She Lies and is adept at crafting synth-based songs and innovative drum machine loops. As Pola Women, the pair create manic rhythms and explore pulsing, immersive sound worlds that combine new wave synthscapes with a signature krautrock beat.
Desiree surprises throughout with haunting and icy vocal lines, they're melancholic and super cold and come in both German and English. That is the case from the off with excellent opener 'Disco Disco.' Her vocals glide over the chattery percussion and tight synth rhythms that are made to make you move. 'Walking Home' is a brooding and downbeat gem, with sombre chords and dejected vocals over more stark drum loops that hark back to the sound of bands like Joy Division and Depeche Mode.
There is a dystopian but absorbing atmosphere to 'Toxic Women' with its frazzled chords and tinny hits, then 'Express' gets a little more playful. There is a hint of disco dazzle to the melodies, while big piano chords lift the mood as synths fire across the mix like shooting stars. The chilly retro chords of 'Never Ever' get you in a trance as rugged arpeggiators make for a tough groove that is softened by more great vocal work from Desiree. An instrumental version of 'Disco Disco' closes down this EP in chugging Kosmische style.

After 2 years & being played by infamous names such as The Blessed Madonna, Horse Meat Disco, Tim Sweeney, Carista, Peach, Orpheu The Wizard, Ben UFO, Rune Lindbaek, Dicky Trisco, Double Dancer and the list goes on… Canto Club is back!

From party people with shoulder pads, big hair, white Rolls-Royces, panama hats, the Fragrant Harbour that is Hong Kong had a very unique Hotel / Clubbing scene before places like DD’s, Canton Disco and Hot Gossip opened their doors.

These Discotheques were a place of creativity, panache and mischief of the era. They were all destinations of desire.

For this edition, we have a special duo called Running Hot which is making waves on the web for digging obscure gems alongside our head honcho RFX. This compilation of 8 edits from the harbor.
We have lots of glitter in this one and the usual funky percussive grooves very unique to Cantonese music.

There’s a track for everyone in this compilation.

Italian selector and producer Matisa released her first EP into the world last year via Optimo Music and introduced us to her Italo Disco-influenced productions. She now follows it up with a contribution to Sleep D's Butter Sessions new V/A Come Together, a five track EP that pulls in artists they've connected with both locally and internationally. Matisa's opener 'Gabardine' continues her appreciation of the Italo sounds that permeated her last release, crafting a punchy house number carried along by a hypnotic bassline.
