Odd One Outside. 

A technical marvel of biblical DIY proportions. A group of wild finns climbed uphill with a generator, dj gear and cases filled with sensitive equipment designed for a less daring environment. Reaching the moderate summit, they dug a hole in the snow for Yotto to play a dj set in. Frozen fingers, technical difficulties and lost drones did not slow down the brave expedition. Includes a wild amount of unreleased music from Yotto and his label Odd One Out.

Ray McPhoney has dance music in his blood from the day he was born.
At the tender age of 9 he sales mixtapes at school. Even as a teenager he was showing huge interest for Hip-Hop and Breakdance, he started to hang out with the guys from the group called "Dynamic Skills" and learn his first breakdance steps.

In 1997 he is getting interest for electronic Music. He began to play pumping-tech-house, but his style changed very fast to progressive-house. Moreover, he spending a lot of time and money in getting new records so we can say him to be areal vinyl-freak! Exellent mixing and a good taste for music are the reasons that Ray McPhoney is one of the finest DJ's in Vienna.

The list of party's where Ray is playing is long and contains all the importent names of Vienna's progressive movement:
Psychic-Reaction, Departure, Green Open Air Festival, Amnesia, Flex, Wuk, Sub-Zero, U4, Volksgarten, P1, Lutz, Planetarium etc.
In 2005 Ray is starting as a producer...Nowadays his Tracks are played by SANDER KLEINENBERG, SASHA, DUBFIRE, etc..
2007 Ray started his own Show called "PHONEYMATICS" on www.play.fm which is one of the biggest internet radios in Europa.
Since April 2008 his second show is online on one of the best radios in Greece for electronic dance music,www.danceradioglobal.com 
The show features guest mixes from KASEY TAYLOR, D-FORMATION, RANDALL JONES, NILS NOA, TRAFIK, NICK K. and many more....

I knew what I was doing, I was going to Burning Man; but what I did not know was just how I’d assimilate and react to all the data, images, sounds, smells ... what would become of my ex-asthmatic anxieties and the difficulties of living in this kind of environment: dust, dust, and more dust!!  

In Black Rock City you'll find all the good and all the evil of this world, the only thing that changes is how you take it in, because here the available tools of art and provocation operate differently ... so why not the music too?

Whatever one may think, there is still a comfort zone in Black Rock City. It’s about attitude: it’s always with a given attitude that you do something to then obtain a determined result, break the routine, open up to something new, not appearance at all costs, just letting everything happen because it has to happen. Running the other way in a dark hostile but magical place like this with a voice that says, "I'm not afraid, I'm here now!” the same voice you hear when you're sitting all alone in front of the pyramid of Cheope, its outline standing out majestically in the dark ... far from comforting places. 

I saw some friends collapse because, inevitably, if you let something get to you here that something will change you. I believe that these people will come away with a greater awareness. There is no magic to Burning Man: there are those who listen and those who continue to sit in their comfort zone, the same as those who from home point fingers with their two bit sarcasm.

The moment when the Man burns is certainly one of the most contemporary and modern tribal experiences I've ever witnessed, it’s like being at the centre of a big blockbuster; but where the characters are no longer Ben Hur or gladiators!

On the Monday 70,000 people left Black Rock City and on the ground there wasn’t even a crumb .. only the footprints of those who had been there, which the wind will take care to remove all traces of.
Thanks to everyone who made this experience so special. Thanks Jan, Anton, Amanda, Eduardo, Michelly, Tara, Chris, Reagan, Martinik, Susan, Rachel, Jonathan, Laura, Benjamin, Jason,  Andrew, Ko, Behrouz, Eugenia,  all the people with whom I had a conversation, and of course Brian Eno and Peter Gabriel! "It began with a crazy sandstorm around the Mayan Warrior Bus so there were not that many bike-riders following us when I started. But with every second of this wild desert sunset, more and more people joined our stage. In the end I couldn't even see the end of the crowd. I am so thankful to everybody who faced the sandstorm and danced with us in the dust. You guys and mother nature created a very special vibe, which I will never forget.
Actually I played 4 tracks which I never had played before. Two of them are not even released yet. I really hope you like this set. See you next year at the playa In dust we trust"
